Nick Cannon Surprises Mariah Carey With New Mom Bling

Talk about some baby mama bling. For Mariah Carey's first mother's day, hubby, Nick Cannon, gifted the new mom a 14-karat rose gold and diamond necklace with their twins' names, Moroccan and Monroe.

The necklace features Moroccan's name spelled white diamonds and baby girl Monroe's name in pink sapphires -- boasting more than four carats. Ringing in at $12,000, the bling was the least Cannon could do for his wife who carried their two bundles of joy for nine months.

"Nick was really excited about the babies' names and wanted to do a piece with them for Mariah's first Mother's Day," jeweler, Jason Arasheben told People. "Pink sapphires are bright and bold and diamonds are always so classic."

But Cannon didn't take the easy way out when it came to designing the bauble.

"He was bleary eyed, looking so tired but so happy -- all smiles, saying he wanted to design something special for Mariah's first Mother's day," Arasheben said.

This new dad is definitely making the grade.

The jewelry is gaudier than those stupid names, and I didn't think that was possible. Just because you have money does not mean you have good taste.

I think the Necklace is beautiful and incase you don't know diamond is April's birthstone so appropriate plus pink is Mariah's favorite color so the pink sapphires were a nice touch. this so reminds me of something Franco Nero would've done for Vanessa Redgrave after she had their son Carlo in September of 1969. Nick is a good sweet man and deserves more credit than some are willing to give him

she is a big fat slob. even before she became pregnant, she was sloppy and obese, yet, no one told her and she paraded around half-naked. yikes; she is a pig. he seems nice though and he works hard and makes money. i imagine their food bill is enormous as she must eat everything but the help. the girl's name is fine but the boy; why didn't she just name him ladaniel or lajerry like the rest of the homeys do. she's lucky the good lord gave her a voice. tommy motola should have been happy to get rid of her; she's definitely from the hood.
