Nick Cannon Surprises Mariah Carey With New Mom Bling

Talk about some baby mama bling. For Mariah Carey's first mother's day, hubby, Nick Cannon, gifted the new mom a 14-karat rose gold and diamond necklace with their twins' names, Moroccan and Monroe.

The necklace features Moroccan's name spelled white diamonds and baby girl Monroe's name in pink sapphires -- boasting more than four carats. Ringing in at $12,000, the bling was the least Cannon could do for his wife who carried their two bundles of joy for nine months.

"Nick was really excited about the babies' names and wanted to do a piece with them for Mariah's first Mother's Day," jeweler, Jason Arasheben told People. "Pink sapphires are bright and bold and diamonds are always so classic."

But Cannon didn't take the easy way out when it came to designing the bauble.

"He was bleary eyed, looking so tired but so happy -- all smiles, saying he wanted to design something special for Mariah's first Mother's day," Arasheben said.

This new dad is definitely making the grade.

um he paid for the Necklace with his own money and the names aren't as bad as some in hollywood get off of them. naming a baby after a family member a star you admire a film Character or anything like that isn't a new phenomenon at all for example Melissa Newman is named after the Orphan Girl Lissy in the moive Count Three & Pray her mothers first film role. besides Monore isn't only after Marilyn but Mariah's irish roots and since the twins are going to be their only children give them a break

The boys name should have been done in sapphires and the girls left as is

These same type of necklaces were real popular in the 70s, and most girls wore them. They are pretty for a teenager to wear, they dont look like something a woman like Mariah would want to wear. It is a sweet gift, and Mariah is lucky to have Nick, hes a big catch for her. Hes the best Mariah will ever do for herself.
These baby names are not the best of names. I hope Mariah chooses some good nick names for the kids. They will need them.
