Was Mariah Carey Reported for Drinking in the Hospital?

All new parents have their hands full, but
Mariah Carey and husband
Nick Cannon also dealt with a very unexpected visitor in the hospital where their daughter and son, Monroe and Moroccan, were born April 30.
"Child Protective Services actually came to me," Cannon told Piers Morgan on CNN Thursday, "And said that they were here to see me because there had been allegations that there was drug and alcohol use during the stay in the hospital."
But it's hardly as scandalous as it sounds: Cannon believes someone involved in Carey's care was overheard discussing a beer that allegedly boosts breastmilk production. Many moms of twins receive lactation tips specific to the challenges of feeding two newborns, but most can probably count on more privacy than Mariah Carey.
"It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness, the dark beer, the yeast improves breastfeeding," Cannon added. "I don't know if someone heard that [and] were saying my wife was drinking beer. People will do anything to try to conjure up a story."
Cannon's theory is that a mundane conversation became a wild rumor only because of the new mom's celebrity. According to
Us, he said the rep responding to information about alcohol in the patients' room understood the circumstances and agreed the allegation was ridiculous.
"To even have to deal with that, with my wife in the state that she's in while we're in the hospital, to even have to think about someone possibly wanting to investigate your children," Cannon said. "It's sad at the end of the day...when you think about people trying to make a buck off newborn babies."
Guinness beer tips aside, nursing twins is serious business for some moms, as 'Modern Family' star
Julie Bowen proudly explained during a chat with George Lopez last year. On the other hand, twin mom
Jennifer Lopez caused a
mini-scandal in the parenting blogosphere when she confidently told People magazine she was forgoing breastfeeding altogether.

Whatever lowlife pig reported this story is an obvious hater. Probably some ugly skank with no talent or skills that has to empty bedpans for a living, jealous of these people. There are no depths to which the pathetic haters won't sink.
And you sir, are a jealous wretch of a human that can write nothing but slime and drivel. Why they print anything from obvious slime-balls I'll never know!

When did she have these kids, it seems like she's been in the hospital for like two weeks, i wouldn't doubt it if she told him to sneak her in a beer.

i guiess they don't call you kat for nothing meow....skank!
I believe she had them early. I had my twins at 33 wk and they stayed in the NICU for 6 wks. That could be what's going on with hers.
She can't go with out a drink for two weeks that makes her a low life drunk and her useless husband the village jerk off. More low lifes just what we need.
Bloated Lush. Good one.

they will be divorced and the kids in therapy before they're in school.

Let Nick & MIriah have a wonderful life & enjoy each other, it should be of no concern to u weather they stay married or not, at least he can pay child support.

sorry to burst the bubble of all the femi-nazis out there, but paying child support is NOT being a dad!

These are her first children and she is an older Mom. I found the alcohol/drug story very hard to believe. Good luck guys, you're going to need it with the rotten tabloids and their smarmy reporters. BTW, lovely Mothers Day gift, but oh, those names.....

Well said, too many pple jump in and believe all this crap they read on these gossip sites. And so WHAT if she did have a beer? Not going to hurt her, or the babies at all...she is no longer pregnant....and YES, I am a nurse and I work with moms and babies all the time...
Not to get off the subject, but does anybody remember the drunk stork on the Bug's Bunny cartoons? That was awesome. Anyway, I wasn't there so I don't know the whole story but I tend to believe Cannon on this. Besides, many people have a little celebration after the birth of a child. Hell, I was pretty hammered when I saw my sister after she gave birth to her second child. Granted I started drinking before going to the hospital, but I think we all had a shot from a bottle of schnapps somebody had given as a gift while in the hospital room. Dad's are given cigars, etc, etc. As long as the mom's not getting drunk or they are getting loud in the hospital, I don't see the need for child services. I'll think they will make good parants. People need to relax.

Back when I was born in the late 40's, my father, my aunt & uncle, and another pair of friends of my parents drank bourbon all night long in the waiting room at the hospital while my Mom was in labor with me and no one thought a thing about it-how times have changed.
The hospital where 2 of my kids were born served champagne and steak dinners to celebrate, the next night after their births. It sounds better than it was (being a hospital, after all!) but what the heck it sounded romantic and nice at the time.
After the fact, romance totally evaporates after many, many hours of labor! I don't like champagne, so it was a moot point.
You could give cigars out, but had to take them home to smoke them.
Well than God someone in CPS is doing their job and not waiting for a baby to die and then try to cover it up. Good work!

The twins were in the Nicu on oxygen for a few days and Mariah had an infection after the C-section so it was safer that she stay in the hospital with them. it's the Yeast in beer that helps boost milk production give her a break she's far from the first celebrity to nurse their children some others include Amy Adams Celine Dion Joanne Woodward Julie Bowen Lynn Redgrave & Vanessa Redgrave. this was just a scam to get pictures without paying and besides stars releasing pics of their babies to magazines isn't a new Phenomenon it's been done for over 70 years
