Britney Spears: Judging 'American Idol' Would Be Awesome
Britney Spears graces the latest cover of
Harper's Bazaar and in the accompanying interview, she talks about her upcoming tour, her biggest fashion mistake and why she thinks Justin Bieber is adorable.
When asked about her new album, Femme Fatale, Spears revealed, "I've worked so hard on this album, so it's really refreshing. I feel like I'm drinking a tall glass of homemade sweet tea on a really hot, beautiful day."
The 29-year-old singer also talked about her Femme Fatale tour. "I love to dance, so it's very exciting. The tour rehearsals have been going really well. I think it will be my best show yet."

On her biggest fashion mistake:
"Ten years ago at the
Billboard awards, I wore this orange hat and orange bra and orange booty pants and purple fishnets. Oh, and I had an orange jacket on. I actually thought I looked hot at the time. But, um, I definitely stood out. I thought it was just a marvelous idea to wear this purple and orange outfit."
On Justin Bieber:
"I think he's adorable. I just saw his movie, and I really didn't realize how big he was. He's enormous; he's just Mr. Man. A lot of the movie is really similar to what I did when I was starting out. I did a promo tour for a year, going into radio stations and all that. It was so cool to see our similarities."
On Rihanna:
"I love "S&M" and "Only Girl" by
Rihanna; that's why I jumped on the "S&M" remix. She's really cool. I like her a lot."
On what she's learned from Madonna:
"I guess she's really taught me to stay true to myself. That seems like a simple thing to say, but she taught me through action, not just by saying it. There are so many people around you that have opinions, but you just have to listen to your instincts."
On being a judge on 'American Idol':
"That would be awesome. I wouldn't be a tough judge, though."

What I would like to know is: who is that on the magazine cover? That woman doesn't even look like Britney did 10 years ago, and that sure as hell doesn't look like her now!

There are many fashion clothes high-heeled shoes
It looks a little like her, probably bad angle and touched up. Britney is a gorgeous girl, she just has demons in her head. To bad.

Being a Judge on AI..? Ooookay... I guess. You don't really need talent to recognize it.

Brittney is a beautiful girl but she can not sing and her performances these days are whack so why on earth would she ever be considered for a judge on AI?
Reply
Why not? She couldn't possibly be any worse than what is on their now....She could replace that no talent PR J Lo in a heartbeat!!!
Anyone has who has watched American Idol knows you only need the ability to utter some catchphrases to be a judge. If she can master:
You're a little Pitchy
You can sing the phonebook
You're in it to win it
That's beautiful, just amazing
then she'll be as good as anyone currently on the show.
If it were Lip Synching American Idol, she would be a perfect fit. Besides, 29 years old, two boys, and her daddy is in charge of her finances. You thought Paula was off the chain, we might get to see Britney have a nervous breakdown at least twice during one season, and no, I wouldn't watch if she did.

Well, I sure hope the powers-that-be at FOX don't think so!!
American Idol is one of my favorite shows. Britney Spears would put an end to THAT!! Can't stand her!!!

I TOTALLY thought he same thing!!!
And you know what else would be awesome? How about president, or queen, or maybe take Donald Trump's job, or how about turning a frog into a prince, or maybe finding the yellow brick road. What is her mental age? Seven? Maybe she should be a nurse or a fireman? Better make those reservations at the trailer park now.-

Would be great for her to be on Idol but Mrs. Ego (Jennifer) might not like it!

Lopez is no more ego-filled than Paula Abdul. In fact, J-Lo has repeatedly demonstrated that she genuinely cares about the contestants, and far more than any of the previous goofballs that sat in the judging chair. But, it's all a moot point because Lopez isn't even going to be on Idol after this season. She and her husband, Marc Anthony, are producing a Latin American talent search program.
Britney is just like American Idol, a has been.

In order to be a judge on AI you need talent and be able to sing and have an IQ over 10 she already failed!
Reply
Well Simon Cowell & Ellen DeGeneres have never had singing careers and Randy Jackson doesn't have an IQ over 10 so your parameters for what makes a judge are seriously lacking.
I think Joan Jett should be a judge on American Idol !!!!

That's an outstanding choice, Tim, but, since Idol already has its resident rocker on the panel (Steven), they probably will go for some pop diva. Lopez will not be back next season. She's said as much because of the new Latin American idol TV show she and her hubby are producing. After seeing the nuttiness of James Durbin getting booted last week I probably won't be watching anymore. Joan Jett would be great though.
