Source: Charlie Sheen 'Destroyed' by Ashton News
Charlie Sheen wasted no time on Friday to mock the
decision to replace him on 'Two and a Half Men' with
Ashton Kutcher, calling the 'That '70s Show' alum a "sweetheart" but a choice that would bring the show down. Despite his public show of gravitas, a source close to Charlie tells me that privately he's "destroyed" by the casting news.
"He really thought that he would be invited back," a friend of Charlie's tells me. "After years of suffering no consequences for his behavior, why would he think anything else? Finally it has sunk in that he doesn't live by different rules to everyone else. Actions do have a consequences."
Following the news that CBS and Warner Bros. Television was going with Ashton, the young actor released a statement praising Charlie. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
In return, Charlie said: "Ashton Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer. Oh wait, so am I!!" the actor told
TMZ. "Enjoy the show America, Enjoy seeing 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."
My source reveals that the casting has hit him hard and that the lack of other offers has weighed heavily on him.
"He is destroyed that Ashton is replacing him. Destroyed," the friend says. "We are all worried that he hasn't hit bottom yet and that this could make him spiral out of control again. Especially after all the other productions that he assumed would happen have fell apart."
Shortly after Charlie was fired he hinted that he was in talks with FOX and HDNet and that he expected to get paid $1 million for a Vanity Fair interview. None of which has yet to be confirmed.

TARA: You and many others just sound like bitter people enjoying the pain of others, really. How about wishing people well for a change?
I think that they made a great discision by replacing Sheen with Kutcher. Maybe Sheen should save enough money for his future, because he will probably need it. He will probably never work in Hollywood ever again (boohoo). Ashton will do a much better job than she has ever done. Plus a much better actor. Thanks...Tim
Duh! Whining!

Ashton Kutcher LOSING
Don't they typecast anymore? Does this guy even look like an older brother to Cryer?

He isn't playing Charlie's part. He is being introduced as a totally new character like a cousing or neighbor or something.
Don't be daft. Of course he's not playing Charlie, or any other "older" brother to Jon Cryer!
Oh, mea culpa. I didn't know that Ashton wasn't a replacement character. Guess I didn't look deep enough into it.
THe odds are he NOt going to be a older brother but a family member for sure...Long last one,
NO HE DON'T LOOK OLDER. CHARLIE SHEEN WAS MAKED FOR THE PART THIS SHOW IS OVER I WILL NOT WATCH IT AND IT WILL NOT BE ON LONG..LOL
So Ashton is not replacing Charlie, why even bother with the show.
Are you saying that Charlie looks like Jon Cryer?
I don't think so. Ashton will be fine. It's the
script that will win the day....or lose it.
Can't wait to see Ashton on Two and a Half men. What a breath of fresh air. Charlie get help and realize you need to change your ways. It's just not working for you.

I agree! I have never liked 2 1/2 Men and do not watch it because of Charlie Sheen. It might actually get me watching it with Charlie gone. I think it would be hilarious if the show continued to be successful and run for a few more seasons without him. Charlie needs to learn that when you bite the hand that feeds you, be prepared for the backlash.
I've never seen the show either but I'm definitely tuning in now. Perhaps Ashton can play Jon's cousin who just got out of rehab and is trying to get his life together. Wouldn't that be ironic?
It is amazing how many judgemental, mean spirited people are out there. How can so many be happy when things go bad for a person!!!
You all are worse than Charlie and not near as talented!
You are pitiful...and uneducated.
Maybe Demi can guest as Holland's sister!!
charlie sheen is the result of being brought up in a left wing liberal household. Now he`s getting what he deserves!!Spoiled brat!!

HAHA!! You pathetic soul...have to bring politics into everything. The one person I know raised in the most right-winged family I have ever seen is currently serving time in the state prison for child molestation. So, you might want to do some research before speaking your ignorance. But...that would require an open mind wouldn't it?
