Source: Charlie Sheen 'Destroyed' by Ashton News
Charlie Sheen wasted no time on Friday to mock the
decision to replace him on 'Two and a Half Men' with
Ashton Kutcher, calling the 'That '70s Show' alum a "sweetheart" but a choice that would bring the show down. Despite his public show of gravitas, a source close to Charlie tells me that privately he's "destroyed" by the casting news.
"He really thought that he would be invited back," a friend of Charlie's tells me. "After years of suffering no consequences for his behavior, why would he think anything else? Finally it has sunk in that he doesn't live by different rules to everyone else. Actions do have a consequences."
Following the news that CBS and Warner Bros. Television was going with Ashton, the young actor released a statement praising Charlie. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
In return, Charlie said: "Ashton Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer. Oh wait, so am I!!" the actor told
TMZ. "Enjoy the show America, Enjoy seeing 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."
My source reveals that the casting has hit him hard and that the lack of other offers has weighed heavily on him.
"He is destroyed that Ashton is replacing him. Destroyed," the friend says. "We are all worried that he hasn't hit bottom yet and that this could make him spiral out of control again. Especially after all the other productions that he assumed would happen have fell apart."
Shortly after Charlie was fired he hinted that he was in talks with FOX and HDNet and that he expected to get paid $1 million for a Vanity Fair interview. None of which has yet to be confirmed.

I personally felt the show was getting stale in the last few seasons, so I wouldn't have cared if it got cancelled. I will give AK a chance on the show because I believe the show needed fine tuning at this point anyways. I'm hoping it's a winning solution, and the show goes on for many years, giving the true actors a secure job they all deserve.
Charlie Sheen shouldn't feel destroyed by the Ashton news. Instead he should feel totally ashamed about his actions that resulted in his being fired from the show in the first place. He is like a human tornado, ripping through life and destroying everythings in his path, like his marriages, his childrens' lives, and his own life to boot. Grow up Charlie, it's about time.

He has definitely hurt all of those you mentioned and I feel very strongly that his parents, who had their own problems but overcame them years ago, are sadly hurt also
Oh, Janice...what an authority you believe that you are. You are an oppinionated fool.
Charlie who?

Ofcourse, you fool...jake. We are collectively speaking of Charlie Manson. And, you? Probably Charlie Brown. Pitiful.
I'm so glad to Ashton join such a wonderful cast. The show will do quite well without Charlie. Although Charlie was fun, he neglected himself and his fans for way too long. We need the refreshing lift Ashton will bring as he joins Jon, Angus, Holland and Conchatta. Looking forward to this!

Dont buy the source at all. Kutcher has gone no where since he hooked up with the old bag lady dumi moore. He once was on the verge of A list until he married that 80s hasbeen, whos face looks like she just got dropped from a plane.

I HOPE THEY DON'T THINK HES GOING TO PLAY CHARLIE, CAUSE IT WILL NEVER WORK !!!!!!! ASHTON NEEDS TO GO BACK TO HIS 70'S SHOW. AND LEAVE THE PART OF CHARLIE ON TWO AND HALF MEN TO CHARLIE SHEEN A REAL MAN, NOT TO A LITTLE BOY.
LOSING !!!!!!
It is sad that when you look back we were really looking at the real life of Charlie, he was playing himself, how sad that we all laughed and never realized how sad it really was.
