Source: Charlie Sheen 'Destroyed' by Ashton News
Charlie Sheen wasted no time on Friday to mock the
decision to replace him on 'Two and a Half Men' with
Ashton Kutcher, calling the 'That '70s Show' alum a "sweetheart" but a choice that would bring the show down. Despite his public show of gravitas, a source close to Charlie tells me that privately he's "destroyed" by the casting news.
"He really thought that he would be invited back," a friend of Charlie's tells me. "After years of suffering no consequences for his behavior, why would he think anything else? Finally it has sunk in that he doesn't live by different rules to everyone else. Actions do have a consequences."
Following the news that CBS and Warner Bros. Television was going with Ashton, the young actor released a statement praising Charlie. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
In return, Charlie said: "Ashton Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer. Oh wait, so am I!!" the actor told
TMZ. "Enjoy the show America, Enjoy seeing 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."
My source reveals that the casting has hit him hard and that the lack of other offers has weighed heavily on him.
"He is destroyed that Ashton is replacing him. Destroyed," the friend says. "We are all worried that he hasn't hit bottom yet and that this could make him spiral out of control again. Especially after all the other productions that he assumed would happen have fell apart."
Shortly after Charlie was fired he hinted that he was in talks with FOX and HDNet and that he expected to get paid $1 million for a Vanity Fair interview. None of which has yet to be confirmed.

You did it to yourself Charlie, I don't watch the show, but i hope the show does really well with Ashton just to rub it in Charlies face, he is a drug addict and he deserved to be fired from this show and Jon Cryer and cast deserve to go on. I will consider watching the show now that Ashton is joining.

Charlie is right. Ashton is a sweetheart. He's cute as a button and will be a great replacement.

Ashton was a good pick to replace Sheen and I hope he does well. Hopefully Demi will be on Ashton's first show. Charlie just found out he's NOT the center of the universe. Duh! Losing!

Charlie deserves to be shown the consequences of his actions. But Ashton is an a--hole. That's definately the end of two & half men.

I'm glad WB didn't cave and bring Charlie back, but I'm not so sure Ashton will be the right fit....

I thought Sheen was going to help people in Haiti or something. Of course I didn't really think he would "help" others... more hot air. Is this still WINNING? Duh!

Never really liked Ashton K.He has a dry humor, couldn't really laugh no matter how I tried when Ashton was on TV. Wish they had just moved on around Charlie .

Happy for Ashton! Can't wait to see the new show!

I won't watch the show without Charlie. Ashton Kutcher is okay, but Charlie made the show. I'll also not buy any of the products advertised on the show. I'll be watching to see where Charlie lands next and I'll watch him there.

I love Ashton - best news I've heard in a long time. It will make me want to watch 2-1/2 men! And a good looking, sexy man playing a playboy type style is a lot more believable than Charlie Sheen.....And Charlie - maybe next time you will think before you mouth off....

Wait it ain't over yet. Once they get the reviews it will be Kutcher out. He will never take Charlies place on the show unless they wimp Charlie down. Kutcher could replace Alan.
