Rihanna Follows Chris Brown on Twitter, Fans Furious

Click 'follow' and incur the wrath, Rihanna. The 'Only Girl' singer recently added Chris Brown to her Twitter news queue, angering more than a few fans for following her abusive ex on the social networking site, according to E! Online.

Brown is also now following Rihanna, alluding to some fans that the pair may be reconciling -- a relationship they do not want to see salvaged.

One fan tweeted, "I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, it's your life but you do have ppl that look up to you. e.g young girls."

But Rihanna shot back saying that a mouse click was no indication that she was going back to her ex.

"Its f--kin twitter, not the alter! Calm down," Rihanna tweeted back.

Although Rihanna, 23, seems to have moved on from the 2009 incident in which she was brutally attacked by Brown, it appears her fans have not. Do you think that following Brown on Twitter means that the pair are friendly again?

They are very young...I know what he did was wrong...but if she wants to give him a 2nd chance that is her business...even if it is just as friends...I think he has shown remorse for what he did to her and his career definitely suffered...no one knows what happened that night...and I am NOT saying that ANYTHING would have justified him hitting her...but I am sure she is not ENTIRELY blameless....

Why is she even following on Twitter a guy who beat the crap out of her?! Its not the alter but its your life & your pride and you are a role model to many young girls. Following him makes her look like a total fool!

Hey Meeker,

People like you kill me...all you heard was what the media was spewing and think you know the ins and outs of a person and their relationship...although CB may have gone too far, everyone who really knew their relationship stated that ol' Rih-rih was definitely the aggressor and if anyone had a reputation for hitting, it was her. I agree with another poster here who said that if it wasn't for the media blowing it up, she would probably still be with him, she was only told to keep quiet about her own "inability to keep her hands to herself" because her handlers knew it would help her career if she was made out to be the "victim".

Oh, and of course the beating was a learning experience...she learned that IF I DON'T WANT TO GET HIT, I SHOULDN'T HIT EITHER!

Calm down people. If she likes it I love it, if she want's to facebook,twitter,myspace,text,call,formspring,send smoke signals that is her decision. We all look at these celebs like their not people. They are flesh and blood with thoughts and concerns. They aren't robots or perfect they are not role models. We need to learn our own values and not look to movie stars and singers to be that for us. JEEZ!
