Laura Pehlke (played by Fischer) is a dental hygienist used to cascading through life effortlessly thanks to her good looks and charm. But when her marriage to real estate agent, Bob, (Chris O'Donnell) begins to crumble, Laura's relationship with her son (Daniel Yelsky) also suffers. Laura turns to drinking and smoking in excess to cope with her family crisis and with all these issues revolving around her, this film takes off.

The debut of 'A Little Help' comes fresh on the heels of Fischer announcing her pregnancy with husband Lee Kirk.
