The season finale of 'Glee' is just a week away, and Matthew Morrison has a new album to promote. So Morrison announced today on 'Good Morning America' that he will be joining the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block tour this summer "playing some arenas and stuff."The ever-supportive Robin Roberts seemed flabbergasted. "That is awesome," she cooed. "That is going to be wicked cool. Thank you for sharing that with us. Wow. Our minds are racing right now."
Yes, teen idols of yesteryear paired with a singing-teacher phenom of today; it's a lot to digest. Now all 'Glee' needs to do is cover 'Backstreet's Back' and 'The Right Stuff' and we will have really bridged the great generational divide.
Watch the announcement after the jump.

Well, that's about right. Didn't think he'd be joining the KISS or Metallica tour.

Sure, why not get a head start on where he and the rest of the glee cast will end up: touring with washed-up boy bands.

A Glee star joins the Backstreet Boys and NKOTB concert as if the concert was not gay enough.

Mark and jwblackpride - Looks like you both must have a crush. You could have posted a message about any other news story today, and yet, you chose to fixate on this guy. It's true, he definitely is attractive.
The New Kids On The Block/Back Street Boys looks to be one of the most successful tours this summer, and they will even be making an appearance on NBC's Today Show - Summer Concert Series. Other bands wish they could have that kind of success. As for other "Glee" actors, many already have their own projects, and also, will do well on the tour this summer.

I cant stand this guy. Cheesy as hell.

Caution - Don't go to the NKOTBSB Concert if you are over 50. There is a bald security man traveling with the bands that will certainly pluck you from the crowd to torment you. He obviously is a very disturbed man that clearly enjoys scaring women.
