Sarah Jessica Parker Dishes on Future 'Sex and the City' Projects

Could there be more 'Sex' in Sarah Jessica Parker's future? The actress talked about future 'Sex and the City' projects and whether or not there are any stories left to tell.

"I think it always comes down to story and what is the story people want to tell," Parker told MTV News about bringing the 'SATC' prequel 'The Carrie Diaries' to life while at the Cannes Film Festival.

"Obviously, I feel proprietary in the best possible way about that entire franchise as it were, but I think there are lots of talented storytellers and obviously lots of talented actors who might be a part of it," she continued.

"I think, like anything, you base your opinion on material and content, and I think that would be the only way for any of us to have an opinion," she said.

And what about another 'SATC' movie? Are there any stories left for Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha?

"I think there is perhaps one more small, important story to tell," Parker revealed. "Whether or not we choose to do that and when we choose to do that remains, obviously, the unknown, but it's nice to ponder."

Parker has previously commented on bringing the ladies back to the big screen, saying she'd love to work on another 'SATC' project -- just not right now.

"I'd definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael [Patrick King, the director] would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?" she said earlier this year.

I'm a big SATC fan. Loved the series, adored the first movie....but the 2nd movie was a big disappointment. I actually cried because I felt so let down. When they took the girls out of NYC it didn't work. New York is one of the leading characters in SATC. They weren't fabulous in Abu Dhabi.

SATC2...not enough sex and not enough city.

The second SATC movie was a huge disappointment. Taking the girls out of NY was a huge mistake, & SJP looked HORRIBLE in that movie! Her hair was niether brown nor blonde, she had huge brown roots showing through, & it looked like it needed washed the entire movie. It was tough to watch her in her Carrie roll, since "Carrie" never looked like she just crawled out of bed, the way she did in SATC II.

I guess old horse face is going to play her SITC role for all se can milk it for. Maybe she needs to look into the mirror and figuure out that she is to old to do it anymore.

Did the writers of SATC2 ever see the show? SATC is about five fabulous femmes, only one of whom is mentioned in the title and she was relegated to supporting player.

SPOILERS!

Sanford and Anthony, really? They spent most of the series disliking each other. IF I'm to accept that relationship I don't want to see the culmination (though that was a fun wedding), show me the change and growth of the relationship.
Miranda quit her job pretty easily for her, in large part because she was struggling with not being there for Brady, then she left the country, leaving both her career and Brady. That's just not Miranda.
Carrie may have thrown herself into decorating the apartment but there was nothing of her personality nor Big's in it.
While Samantha is a horn-dog, she is not a fool, she is not self destructive and she knows her business. I did not believe she would not have done her own research, she did not need Miranda's little tidbits. While she would likely have struggled with not being publicly sexual, or perhaps mistakenly thought she been more discreet than she had been she would not have been that oblivious.
I look forward to visiting these friends again, I'd hate for that last outing to be our last; the girls, all five, deserve better. So does the audience.

Please...no more SATC movies! The series was fabulous, but these films are ruining its legacy. The storylines could not be more ridiculous and are truly cringeworthy. SATC has jumped the shark.

Maybe it's just me, but Sarah looks like a witch with that narrow face and chin. A fair body, but the face is witchlike in my opinion. It will get worse as she gets older. Hope she doesn't sprout hairs from that chin. Just my opinion. I'm sure she could care less. Hollywood, the media and her fans have made her a multi millionaire. Go figure.
