Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Looking to Reteam Onscreen

It was a match made in Hollywood heaven when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie teamed up to star as a married couple secretly moonlighting as assassins in 2005's 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith.' The onscreen chemistry was so palpable that it wasn't long before it seeped into reality. Now, six years and six children (three adopted, three biological) later, the power couple is looking to revisit that professional partnership that started it all.

In an interview with NPR, Pitt said that the couple is looking for another onscreen collaboration.

"We're not ones to repeat ourselves, but we'd like to, because right now, we're hopscotching with films so one can be with the kids and one's free to work," Pitt said. "And why aren't we doing them together? Why aren't we doing everything together?"

Pitt and Jolie are currently at the Cannes Film Festival with their brood in tow. He is promoting his long-anticipated Terrence Malick film 'The Tree of Life' while Jolie is there for 'Kung Fu Panda 2' co-starring Jack Black.

Pitt acknowledged that his transition into a father of six and full-blown family man following his divorce from Jennifer Aniston was abrupt, but the 47-year-old said that this was his plan from the start.

"I had a friend who had a big family when I was a kid. I just loved the chaos around the breakfast table and the fighting and the ribbing, and the mom making pancakes for everyone or the dad making pancakes. And I just decided then if I was ever going to do it -- this left some indelible mark on me -- if I was ever going to do it, that's the way I was going to do it."

He also reiterated his previous sentiment that the only critics that really matter to him are his children.

"I think my focus before was more irreverence, by nature," Pitt said. "I'm a dad now. It's more important to me that if I'm going to do the film, there's something I can bring to it, it's not generic. And most of all, I'm painfully aware that my kids are going to see these when they're older, and I want them to understand something about their dad, and I want them to be proud of their dad."

Seems like it was 1995....hard to believe it wasn't.

Who wants to see them together in all of their movies. Her recents movies have been very lack luster and his have been ok to good. Yeah seems like a great thing for any director or producer to want.

Finally, yeah for him! His need for family was his key to happiness and peace. I love it. I think they are great, no matter what folks say. Let the past stay where it is at.
They have shown time and again that they are good parents, good actors, and good humanitarians who care about situations bigger than themselves. Kuddos!

i dont care what anyone says, they are a good couple and i know they love their kids, what other parents would "drag" their 6 kids to cannes or anywhere for that matter if they didnt have to? not to mention, juggling films so one can be with them..i know people dont like angelina jolie, she broke up brad and jennifer, waa, waa waa, she doesnt appear to be a friendly person, blah blah blah, she is strange, uh oh...well any of those things or not, she is one of the few stars who has "grown" in hollywood, from weird to the United nations liason..she visits third world countries to help show people what is like for those peope, she contributes her money to a variety of causes, any money she gets from a lawsuit over lies or whatever goes to a charity...and she is an academy award winning actress..her movies may not have been the best lately, i think its the parts she has chosen, but she is still a good if not great actress..im concerned as it appears she has lost some weight, use to be real voluptuous, but thats her choice, most of hte women in hollywood nowadays look like they are starving....as for brad, dont particularly like him, im a johnny depp fan, but he is a good father and for all the rumors he and angelina are still together, guess they try to work things out rather thant throw in the towel at the first or second bump in the road. cudos to them, i would like to see them in another well written, well directed movie..make the right choice you two ...

Honestly I do not know of course but it seems if Brad wanted a family and his wife at the time wasn't willing or wanting to do the same it seemed inevitable they would break up. You can't break what is already broken.

I'm SO tired of this pair. Of course, I'm especially tired of her. She's such a control freak and so very possessive. How can someone so attractive be so needy? Her body language screams neediness when you watch her with him. And, gosh - he looks like a tramp most of the time. The slicked back hair is awful. The goatee is ugly. You'd think no matter what movie he's doing, he could manage to clean up for something with so many photo calls.

I am so sick of hearing or reading about this "couple". The only really good movie Brad was in was Legends of the Fall. I refused to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith because that's when they cheated. Yes I think it was wrong and I boycott, which I normally don't do, but i boycott all their movies. There kids seem to be taking their "no marriage" policy, not very well and are constantly moving from one place to another. I think they and their parents need STABILITY! Can you say selfish!

Mr&Mrs. Smith really stunk up the screen. Who wants to pay for that crap again? Neither of these two can act. They're wonderfully successful exploiting their celebrity status and making trailer park trash envy their lives. Can these people sort of form their own secret society and leave the rest of us alone in peace?

They are a working couple in the entertainment industry and not exploiting their children for money like Jada and Will Smith

Personally I would not even watch a show that Brad and Angelina were in together.......makes me think of how wrong they were the first time they did a movie together. Now I like Brads movies and would love to see one of them.......Especially his Legend of the Falls!!!! But nope, Brad is a much better actor than she is an actress so I say Brad in and Angelina out.......
