Down With Webster, Fefe Dobson and Shawn Desman Leading Nominees For 2011 MMVAs

Down With Webster, Fefe Dobson and Shawn Desman are the leading nominees for this year's MuchMusic Video Awards show, which is set for Toronto's MuchMusic headquarters on June 19.
Announced late yesterday afternoon on the MuchMusic's 'New.Music.Live,' all three artists have four nominations each, while JDiggz and Danny Fernandes have three. Several nominees, including Arcade Fire, Avril Lavigne, Drake, Metric and Justin Bieber, have two each.
Down With Webster's video for 'Whoa Is Me,' Dobson's video for 'Ghost' and Desman's video for 'Electric/Night Like This' are nominated for Video of the Year, Pop Video of the Year and the fan voted UR FAVE Video categories.
Other Video Of The Year nominees include Blake McGrath's video for 'Relax' and Danny Fernandes' video for 'Automatic.' Alyssa Reid's video for 'Alone Again' and Marianas Trench's video for 'Good To You' round out the Pop Video Of The Year category.
Elsewhere, Metric's 'Stadium Love' video is nominated for the MuchLOUD Rock Video of the Year along with Simple Plan, Billy Talent, Hail The Villain and Abandon All Ships. The same Metric video is also up for MuchFACT Indie Video of the Year alongside JDiggz's 'This Time,' JRDN's 'Like Magic,' Tokyo Police Club's 'Boots Of Danger (Wait Up)' and You Say Party's 'Lonely's Lunch.'
For the MuchVibe Hip Hop Video of the year, K'Naan's 'Take A Minute,' Shad's 'Rose Garden,' Classified's 'That Ain't Classy,' Belly's 'Back Against The Wall' and P.Reign's 'Call My Name' are competing.
Several big names are nominated for International Video of the Year (Artist) with Lady Gaga's 'Judas,' Bruno Mars' 'Just The Way You Are,' Eminem's 'Love The Way You Lie,' Katy Perry's 'E.T.,' Kanye West's 'Runaway' and Rhianna's 'Only Girl (In The World) five of the nine nominated. Others include Britney Spears' 'Till The World Ends,' David Guetta's 'Who's That Chick,' Jennifer Lopez's 'On The Floor' and MMVA co-host Selena Gomez's 'A Year Without Rain.'
The same videos by Eminem, Britney Spears, Bruno Mars and Selena Gomez up for International Video of the Year (Artist) are also up for UR FAVE International Artist. Lady Gaga's 'Born The Way' rounds out that particular category.
In the International Video of the Year (Band) section, The Black Eyed Peas' 'The Time (Dirty Bit),' Diddy-Dirty Money's 'Coming Home,' Far East Movement's 'Like A G6,' The Black Keys' 'Tighten Up' and White Lies' 'Bigger Than Us' are nominated.
Finally, UR FAVE Artist nominees are Arcade Fire, Avril Lavigne, Drake, Justin Bieber and Down With Webster.
The 2011 MMVAs will be broadcast live in Canada on MuchMusic and in the U.S. on Fuse at 9PM ET.
