Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen Confirm Relationship

It's official -- as if we didn't know from their make out pics -- Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have confirmed their couple status, according to People.

"Yeah, we are together," Sheen told People yesterday at a Cannes event.

From smooching at LAX airport to hitting the French film festival's red carpet hand in hand, we weren't filled with too much shock and awe when the duo finally spilled the beans.

"I don't think it was planned one way or the other," McAdams said of taking their relationship into the public eye.

The pair have been spotted together since the fall of 2010 -- Sheen, 42, is 10 years McAdam's senior. The attractive couple has been quite the sight for sore eyes at the Cannes festival while promoting their new Woody Allen flick, 'Midnight in Paris.'

"She's talented, intelligent, beautiful," Sheen beamed. "She's warm and friendly. She's very supportive, and very kind, very funny. She makes me laugh a lot ... Hopefully, I have some of those qualities as well."

Once you get a man in love started about his girl, he just can't stop.

"She has a real honesty and a real vulnerability about what she does," he said of McAdam's on-screen work. "She has a real emotional presence."

The actors met on-set of the Allen flick but one person who didn't see a romance budding between the co-stars was Allen, himself.

"They were kind of chummy," Allen said. "But I didn't see it coming here ... and they did not ask my permission."
