Willie Nelson Endorses Republican for President

Country music giant Willie Nelson has called on all stoners and marijuana advocates to put the bong down -- don't be paranoid, bro, no one's gonna steal it -- and get out the vote in 2012 for Republican presidential candidate Gary Johnson.
After meeting with the former New Mexico Governor following a concert in his native Texas, Nelson decided to give his Teapot Party's endorsement to Johnson, a longtime pot fan.
In his
official response to the honor, Johnson called Nelson an "iconic entertainer, philanthropist, innovator and champion for individual rights."
"Not only is he a superstar talent, he is a bold advocate for social change," Johnson continued. "Americans are demanding the freedom and opportunity to pursue their dreams without interference from a heavy-handed government, and Willie Nelson lends a tremendous voice to those demands."
On marijuana, Nelson has said "Tax it, regulate it, legalize it." During the Republican debate on May 5, Johnson echoed that opinion, saying "I advocate legalizing marijuana -- control it, regulate, tax it."
He entered the race in April during a trip to the all-important primary state of New Hampshire.
This is the first endorsement for the newly formed Teapot Party. In 2008, Nelson gave his support to Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Democrat of Ohio.
Nelson was arrested in late November of last year at a border checkpoint in Texas when agents found six ounces of giggle smoke on his tour bus. When asked whose pot it was, Nelson piped up and took the rap.

A couple of months ago they did an article about Willie and 95% of the posts supported him and said he was a legend. The people stated he was a great man. Now that he endorsed a Republican candidate everyone turns their backs on him and forgets who he is and what he has done in his life. Oh, and pulling the race card again? Think of something original.

I can't believe I wasted my time looking to see what this article might be about! It was the words Willie andorses Republican that made me curious. It sounded absurd.
But, Willie & the article got straight to the point, what his endorsement is all about. Pot! What a total loser!
Regulating & Taxing it,...& making it legal would only create a slew of law suits from injuried & accidents caused by drug addicts in the work place & on the highways.
It would also raise the price of pot, resulting in more crime.
Drugs Make You Stupid Willie, you're living proof of it. You are short sighted. And, you are only motivated by the idea of being able to purchase pot easier & without risk.
I knew that couldn't be a serious article.
And, Willie may as well walk up to the candidate & give him the kiss of death, although apparently that candidate would be hoping for the pothead votes anyway. It is probably the only reason that candidate is in Politics.

The former Governor of New Mexico is a headcase, but of course he claims he no longer smokes pot.
Who pays attention to who he endorses?
