Camille Grammer's Rep: Kids Don't Want to Live With Kelsey

As if it wasn't enough that Kelsey Grammer dumped his ex-wife Camille when he was working in New York while she was home in California looking after the kids, but now the remarried 'Frasier' star has opened a tense battle for custody of their children. Well, I'm told that the kids are not interested in moving in with dear old dad.

"The children are at home with Camille where they want to be," Camille's publicist Howard Bragman tells me. And if Kelsey thinks they will be joining him any time soon he needs to think again.

"He is angry that she didn't walk away from the marriage without a fight," an insider close to the former couple tells me. "Kelsey is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it. He is incredibly rich and powerful and doesn't like being told no. But after years of being in his shadow Camille has had enough. When it comes to her children she will fight for what's best for them."

Kelsey is now in Chicago with his wife Kayte Walsh where he is filming his new series, 'Boss,' and has just filed for sole custody of daughter Mason, 9, and son Jude, 6.

The custody filing requests that the kids be allowed to live with their mom for half of their summer and winter school breaks, but that for the rest of the year they're with their dad, who moved to NYC last year.

The family insider calls that request ludicrous and unrealistic, seeing as Camille is and will remain based in Los Angeles.

"The children have routines, school, friends and are surrounded by people they know and love," the source tells me. "To move them across the country to spend time with their dad and his new wife, whom they hardly know, and nannies while their father is working makes no sense at all."

A rep for the actor told PEOPLE that "The filing speaks for itself" but my source says Kelsey should "stop being so selfish and do what's right for his family not him."

His new "series" will tank like the other he did on Fox. Give up, The days of "Cheers' and "Frasier" fame are long past. Kelsey, you've been relegated to has-been status, but at least you might sdtill have the SImpson's jobs.

Kelsey Grammer is delusional. If he cared about his children, he would have "manned up" when in his marriage to Camille, talked to her face to face, ended one relationship before starting another...rather than slinking off to start over with yet another "true love". On Real Housewives, his true character was shown, and it was not pretty. Camille is no prize either, but she's the lesser of two evils. Poor kids.

Isn't it funny now that Kelsey wants his kids? His new wife wants the kids so Kelsey won't have to pay the child support.
Again Kelsey and his child wife don't want to spend whatever is left on continuing support. Where does Kelsey state my kids are unhappy and want to live with me? No where as the kids like California and didn't really care for New York. Kelsey get your priorities straight before you go and destroy your kids happiness AGAIN....You may think you are rich and powerful but you lost alot of fans with your disrespect of your children's mother and your children. If you and your child bride wish to have children either have them or adopt them if your nest is so empty considering you just got married. The child support will never stop until the kids are 18 or older depending upon their colleges. So tell your child bride...we tried but there is no way a Judge is going to give you the children with the way you live your life.......

Susannah, she didn't leave him/the kids for a man young enough to be her son and get pregnant during their marriage. She may be a witch, I don't know her, but she is definitely the lesser of the two evils. If Kelsey gave two sh*ts about those kids, he wouldn't want to uproot them from the only home they've known, their school, and their friends. It's the only security that they have left, thanks to him. It says a lot about *anyone* who could even be on the side of this womanizing, moraless slug. Even if it's Nannies who are basically raising them, they need to stay in their own environment. He could at least let them have that security of "normalness". Hey, he's the one who cheated with a girl young enough to be his daughter, knocked her up while still married to their mother, then decided to pack up and walk out on them. Sorry, I have to disagree. This sperm donor doesn't *deserve* the title of "dad", let alone be raising these kids.

Susannah--you have a warped sense of reality--obviously skewed by your hatred (probably rooted in jealousy) of Camille; It's blinding you, so you can't see through Kelsey to realize what his M.O. is: he's using the children as pawn pieces in his game of chess. He simply doesn't want to pay millions of dollars in child support, which he wouldn't have to if he had custody. He has absolutely NO INTEREST in his children or what they want or need; he hasn't played a big role of being a father. If he was a REAL FATHER, he would put their interests before his; but he hasn't, and he won't... Leopards don't change their spots. His career, his ego, and his pecker always came first--NOT his children; Not Before, Not Now, and Not Ever.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The man is a pr**k. Look you can't help who you fall in love with but the way you handle it can be helped. This man not only got another woman pregnant while married. But, planned a wedding date before his divorse was even inked. Where was his protection for his children then? The man is a pr**k and I hope his blood pressure goes through the roof!!!!! He should be ashamed of himself for how he handled his affair. At the very least he should have put his kids first. He didn't.....jerk.

Regardless what you think of the parents - I don't know much about Camille - I think it is horrible, to uproot the children, especially a 9 year old, from their school and friends to move them from CA to Chicago and bring them from probably the only home they have known AND their mother! If Charlie Sheen can't get custody (even temporary) from a mother in rehab, I can't see how Kelsey will win on this one - and I hope he doesn't - for the childrens' sake. Like I said, I don't know much about the mother, but I know what makes sense and taking them from school, friends and their home doesn't make sense.

The State of California doesn't look kindly upon moving kids of a divorce out of their jurisdiction, and away from their school, friends, family and other loved ones. His arrogance is showing.

Stop fathers from applying for sole custody when they decide to remarry. This manuever is to prevent child support payments. The laws must be changed in favor of the children and natural mothers. It is being abused and the children are being abused. Contact your Congressman or Congresswoman by email regarding this issue,

It's not enough that he's upset their lives by divorcing their mother, but he now wants to rip them away from any security that they have left. Way to go, "Dad", that alone speaks volumes about you putting them before your own needs. Most children want to stay with their Mother, in the house that they know, in the school that they know, around their friends they've had for years. Yeah...good call. Well, if he gains custody, at least his daughter will have someone to play with.........her new stepmommy can be her BFF and they can share the latest Justin Beiber CD's.....@@........you've done enough damage, Kelsey, put your kids first for once and do the right thing (if you even know the meaning of right).

Why now Kelsey...From what I understand he has never spent much time with them. Maybe he wants to lower his support payments.
