Steve Wilkos: 'My Stomach Was Turning' During Teen Incest Story, but No Regrets

EXCLUSIVE: Steve Wilkos has come under fire in recent days for featuring a disturbing story of an 18-year-old girl who is having a full-blown sexual relationship with her biological father. They go so far as to make out on camera and the likes of Perez Hilton are asking how Steve "stooped down this far." Now, Steve, who cut his teeth as the bouncer on 'Jerry Springer,' is fighting back telling me he is proud of the show even though it made him sick to do it.

"I knew it was going to be a show people watched and we've gotten a lot of response to it. People found it hard to believe. I was nauseated and my stomach was turning, but we do shows to help people," Steve tells me. "We speak out. This stuff really happens. Would you rather I not try and speak some sense into this young woman? You could pretend it's not happening."

Adds Steve, "I chose to expose it and I'm not going to turn my back."

36 Days Later, He Had Them Back On ...

'The Steve Wilkos Show' aired, in two parts, the story of Morgan and his biological daughter Britney, who reconnected through Myspace when she was 16 and started to have a relationship. To the horror of the audience the kin greeted each there with a long kiss on stage.

"What's sad about this story is that this young woman, who is sleeping with her father, was abused by other men sexually," Steve tells me. "She got bounced around and you would think when she reconnected with him, he would protect her. Instead he piled on and abused her too. She is seeking a man to take care of her."

At the end of the show, Steve gave Britney the opportunity to leave her dad and go and get professional help for the abuse she had suffered her whole life. But instead she took her father's hand and vowed to stand by him.

"It's pathetic and sad," Steve admits.

Steve was a familiar and lovable part of Jerry Springer's still-going-strong talk show and got his big break when Jerry did 'Dancing With The Stars' and Steve filled in as the host. He admits that producers didn't think Jerry would last long on the hit ABC show.

"They thought Jerry would be the first to get voted off. He ended up dancing for five weeks and I hosted a lot of shows that rated well," Steve tells me. "I still see Jerry once or twice a month and we have dinner or a cigar. He's one of the greatest human beings. No ego. He treats everyone with respect and has more manners than anyone I have ever met in my life."

Steve, who has just had his caricature added to the famous wall of The Palm restaurant, is having the time of his life and is thrilled his parents can enjoy his success. "I'm proud of my show. I hear critics, but I get people come up and tell me he all the time that I'm helping. People see I'm trying."

I saw this show and it was absolutely disgusting! Saying that, I must say that this is "real world" stuff and it needs to be exposed. I love the Steve Wilkos Show and will continue to watch it. If you are one of the one's that don't like it, KEEP IT MOVING!!!

I normally don't watch shows like this,it happened to on the t.v. while I was at a dentist office.Not only did it shock me, but I just couldn't get it out of my head, and then it was on again! I'd say that the girl is just too happy to get "Daddy's affection", and she's ready to "anything" to get it, just because he didn't raise her, doesn't mean he can rape her. I too, would like to know where her mother is. What is wrong with them two?!?! Especially with her "trying" to get pregnant.she's got to know by now that it's wrong. The father should be trying to bring her up the right way, and not taking advantage of her ignorance.

I also could not help thinking this "thug forever" as was tattooed on his neck, is grooming her for the sex industry. steve showed a vulgar dance she filmed in her underwear and said most of it was so graphic they couldnt even show it, she also had one of those nasty tongue studs, and u know what those enhance. dont think the bio mom was mentioned and none of the daughter's past was brought up at her request.

Steve is not the bad guy! People are misdirecting their anger/disgust. That low life trash(AKA biological father)of that victim is the bad guy! He is a predator and she will not be the last innocent child he turns into a sexual victim!

Steve brought this ugliness into the public spotlight hoping to have the young woman realize her serious mistake and to change her life now before it is too late! I hope the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction looks into a criminal prosecution for that low life creep. He deserves prison time for destroying that young lady's life!

I know this wasn't an easy topic for Steve to air, but I am so glad he did. This happens more then you realize, and the young girls need to know that they are a vitum, sorry can't spell very well. When a family member of mine met her father, after she was adult, he had confusing feelings about her, thank the good Lord that he got help, now they have a normal relationship.
When I was sixteen years old, I met my birth father for the first time. My step father was very abusive, so I was wanting my birth father to be my knight and shining armor, I wanted to be daddy's little, I wanted to have a father who loved me. He loved me alright, the whole time he was grooming me so he could have sex with me. I was so confused, I thought I was in love with him, I wanted to be loved so bad that I thought it was ok. I finally told somebody, and they told my mom, needless to say, I was told I lied and made it all up. Nothing was done about it, it was just never talked about again. Just like my brother and me, being physically, sexually, and emotionally as children by our step father, the family never talked about it either, and no one help us, and everybody wonders why my brother head is so screwed up. If somebody would just have done something, then maybe he wouldn't be so sick now. STEVE KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!

got her where he wanted her, he know exactually what he was doing,
that is how they work. She is a victum, all she wanted was to be
loved, not to be used and abused. Same thing happen to me when I was
16 and met my birth father for the first time. I just wanted to be
daddy little girl, not his girl friend, but some love at the time was
better then none.

I jsut watched the show 4 the 1st time tday & I was totally sick & disgusted with the dad!! It is so unbelievable that he can actually think in his sick mind that this is ok? He should definately go 2 prison & she needs 2 go into long term theraphy.
