Lindsay Lohan Gets Restraining Order Against Delusional Stalker

Lindsay Lohan has been granted a restraining order against a delusional stalker whose behavior had become so aggressive that she feared he could sexual assault her.

TMZ is reporting that Lohan obtained a temporary restraining order against David Cocordan, who she said has attempted to contact her through over 100 phone call and text messages to express "delusional thoughts and irrational feelings about his belief that we [Lohan and Cocordan] are in a relationship."

Lohan revealed in a declaration that Cocordan has sent her chocolates and doctored magazine articles and he has even followed her to at least two public appearances.

The 24-year-old actress revealed that a text Cocordan sent her said, "I'm glad we are engaged." He also revealed in another message that he got a tattoo of the actress.

Lohan said that the messages got more graphic in nature to the point where she said, "I am afraid that this text message shows that Mr. Cocordan intends to sexually assault me."

Lohan also reveals that she reported Cocordan's behavior to the Los Angeles Police Threat Management Department where a detective initiated and investigation and found that Cocordan had a "significant psychiatric history of acting on his delusional beliefs."

It was also learned that Cocordan suffers from schizophrenia and has not been taking his anti-psychotic medication.

Lohan declared that she feared for her personal safety and the declaration and evidence was compelling enough for a judge to order Cocordan to stay away from the actress and have no communication with her.

...OMG (Gosh)....People!! Doesnt anyone see that this is a Futile attempt by Loahan (Et Al), to seek the publics sympathy regarding her case-?! This sympathy, no doubt, certainly includes the County that is trying to prosecute her for another matter. Very Cleavor Lohan, but you didnt fool me and hopefully others will start seeing this futile desperate attempt to save herself from having to serve, ultimately, Jail time. I'll admit, it is Creative at least!

The sad thing is that no one can believe her, if it is true. She's lied about so many things, it's obvious she has some need to stay in the limelight and she has no scruples.

Also, if it's been going on for four years and she knew his phone number, can it really be called stalking? He may be psycho, but she's certainly afflicted with mental illness herself. She just takes cocaine and red bull to medicate.

What is wrong with you people? Just because this woman has made mistakes in her life doesn't change that fact that this would be a terrifying situation for anyone to be in. A judge would not have granted a restraining order if these claims were not true. Imagine if a crazy person was stalking one of you. No one deserves that. All of the anonymous nastiness on the internet is ruining society and you are all contributing to it. Congratulations!

Judges OFTEN grant restraining orders, erring on the side of caution. I don't know whether it is true or not but it sounds really fishy.

Whay? I could not agree with you more. Ms. Lohan is an OK person and I think that judge had good cause for the restraining order. It is better to be safe then sorry. And to the people who said it is a stunt, think again.

Did you not read the article? the judge investigated the man and found he had done things like this before and is schizophrenic. He didn't order the restraining order just on Lohan's request. Obviously this is a sick guy, literally and figuratively. anyone would be afraid after phone calls and messages like this.

This is a Public Relations ploy that the Kardashians use all the time (must have the same publicist) to keep their name in the news and gain sympathy form the public as well when the general public opinion of her is negative.
