Pink Angered Over Selena Gomez's Pastel Ponies
Selena Gomez is the one Disney starlet who's managed to stay out of the controversial spotlight but her latest music video shoot has another pop star seeing red.
Gomez was shooting the music video for her latest single, 'Love You Like a Love Song' yesterday alongside some not so natural co-stars -- pink tinted horses. But what girl wouldn't want a pink pony? Well, there's at least one chick who's speaking out about the equine issue.
"If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame," singer,
Pink,
tweeted yesterday.
Although we doubt Gomez's camp crossed any animal rights boundaries, we can see why Pink would be concerned when it came to the pastel ponies. But according to
E! Online, as long as the horses are painted using nontoxic products and are allergy tested before application, the American Humane Society sees nothing wrong with giving the four-legged friends a makeover.
"Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions," Pink continued to
tweet.
Do we have the next diva vs. diva feud on our hands?

Haters just love to hate, huh? In case you missed it,this story is about Selena Gomez and Pink. Obviously, though, you have a bug up your butt about Beyonce and needed to vent so this was as good a place as any. Pathetic.
So mutilating your body with permanent ink (tattoos if you didn't know what I meant) is sooooo much better than a harmless temporary color on a horse? If she's so mad about the horse being colored and not the color in particular, I bet she gets ticked seeing the "horse of a different color" in The Wizard of Oz.

The paint on the horses in the Wizard of Oz was not water washable paint, just like the silver paint used on the first actor who was supposed to play the Tin Man, Buddy Ebsen. He ended up in the hospital due to a severe allergic reaction to the silver paint and had to be replaced by Jack Haley. I can easily understand how Pink might think the paint was like the paint used in The Wizard of Oz, hence her tweets. TY Pink for being concerned.
Pink think? Now there's an oxymoron.
The coloring of the horses from the Wizard of Oz wasn't water washable paint, so yes you are correct on that. It was lemon, cherry, and grape gelatin, each used on a different horse. The silver used in the Tin Man make-up contained aluminum dust. It's amazing how people make a big deal about an animal that was colored yet not physically harmed and yet people don't stand up for innocent children who are abused everyday all over the world.
Pink made a choice to have thosethings done to her the animals didnt choose
hard to take anything serious from a woman who refuses to go by a real name. And her concerns about the horses are rather stupid. I doubt whether they were harmed in the least. And I'm sure she has used some rather stupid and ignorant things in her videos. Where is the problem "pink"?

Pink is the typical celebrity: Speaking out before knowing the facts, condemning without having a clue.

I do not see how she could tell what color the ponies were with her head so far up her own rear! The ponies were not harmed, get over it! She is a loser and Salina is a darling young woman. Pink should just shut it!

Pink needs to get off her high horse.

Although most are saying that dyes have never hurt P!nk herself, and although these dyes are non-toxic to animals and have been tested, do you people really think that these horses (and other animals mentioned: puppies, kittens, etc.) WANT to be dyed pink? They have no choice of whether or not they want to be randomly coloured for a stupid music video or simply just because someone wants to colour their animal. The problem I'm seeing is, these animals have no choice. As humans, we do, so we do as we please, we make our own choices, these animals cannot.

I doubt the animals care what cilor they are.
thats color.
They may not care what colour they are, but they don't have a choice. Would you want a bunch of people dyeing you pink if you didn't have a choice? No.
A talented singer/ songwriter going off on a Beiber hump of the moment..Works for me..

I'm with you on that one, Mike. That kid looks like a Zena wannabe.
There are far to many other more important issues for pink to have a cow over. Publicity.

Thats the price for stardom.

I agree with pink...do they really need to paint those horses for a video? and you "horse owners" who happily paint and add glitter "that is made for horses" to your horses...What? Why? Do you get a bigger belt buckle as a prize if you have plastered your horse with glitter?

Pink needs to mind her own beeswax. The ponies are painted with non-toxic, hypo-allergenic materials. It won't hurt them and it will grow out. If I had a little girl and she wanted a pink or blue pony, guess what! A little beet juice and she gets a pink pony for her birthday, or a little blueberry juice and she gets a blue one. OR... mix a little beet juice and blueberry juice and she gets a PURPLE one! But I don't any more. The kid next door was born after my daughter and today I saw him on the trampoline. He's half-grown. Just reminds me of what I've missedout on with my kids. But in all liklihood, if she wanted a pink pony, she probably got one and that's more than she would have ever had with me.
