Beyonce To Be Saluted by Michelle Obama, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga

Beyonce, prepare to be bowled over. A highlight at this weekend's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas will undoubtedly be the tribute to honor the pop star with the Millennium Award. And the stage will be overflowing with famous friends saluting her talent.

Access Hollywood is reporting that none other than First Lady Michelle Obama will step into the spotlight take part in the tribute. Beyonce serenaded President Obama and his wife with 'At Last,' as they danced at an inauguration ball in early 2009.

Insiders say other luminaries eager to honor Beyonce include Lady Gaga (her collaborator on the hit single 'Telephone'), Bono, Stevie Wonder and Barbra Streisand.

Ken Jeong, star of 'Hangover 2' and 'Community,' will host the star-studded event, which will also include performances from Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Cee Lo Green and the Black Eyed Peas.

The roster of presenters includes Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison. The Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

I don't understand, why they would salute her at such a young age. Does this mean that they think she is at the top of her game? And whatever her husband did in his past, that's exactly what it is his past. A poor black young man doesn't have the option of working at getting special treatment because of his race. Oh but look at his current achievements, hurray. The white race continues to be haters of blacks, while trying to immitate everything we do. Just like Iminem being the first rapper to win a grammy, that's a slap in our face as a race, when it was birth out of the ghetto.

White people don't have a damn clue about how blacks struggling in the ghetto, are mentally and emotionally drained because of their poverty, misery and lack of opportunity. Are white people forcing black people to portray themselves as illiterate, female-bashing, thugs in popular music and movies? Unfortunately, it seems to be considered cool to be negative ghetto stereotype.

So, there are hundreds of thousands of other cities to live in that are not the big, inner-cities. I don't have much money but I sure as hell don't choose to live in a neighborhood like that. CHOICE. CHOICE. CHOICE.

I am sick & tired of people always claiming to be the victim. There are plenty of opportunities for black people to work their way out of the ghetto if they CHOOSE to. Finish school, get a job, maybe two & you too can escape the ghetto life. I know many black families who have done so. Your choice. Victim or winner.
