Robert De Niro, 2011 chair of the Cannes Film Festival's selection jury, announced the winner of the Palme d'Or at Sunday's closing ceremony in the South of France.'Tree of Life,' a 1950's drama starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, and directed by Terrence Malick, won the prestigious top prize. Two producers accepted, reports CBS News.
Pitt appeared at the Cannes screening of 'Tree of Life' last week, but has flown with Angelina Jolie and their family to Hollywood this weekend for Jolie's 'Kung Fu Panda 2' premiere, so he was unable to attend the film fest's closing ceremony.
And although controversial director Lars von Trier was banned from Cannes events after Nazi and Hitler remarks he made at a festival press conference, the star of his latest film, Kirsten Dunst, won the trophy for Best Actress.

Don't care what kind of award he gets, will never watch him in this or any film, he looks so greasy. This movie sounds awful anyway, just a movie that puts down God.

My thoughts exactly; he always looks dirty and unkempt, even his clothing looks filthy. Ever since he said in an interview that he is "too busy" to shower so he uses baby wipes, just seeing a picture of him always makes me think "TAKE A BATH."
lets go◎★◎
believe you will love it.

just because someone believes in God doesn't make them any more of a whack job than you are. Only stupid people judge everyone that believes in something a whack job.
shame on you
It's NOT a Brad Pitt or Sean Penn film! Terrence Malik directed it not those 2 jabronees.

Pitt is one of the producers so it's his too.
Malick couldn't fibd some finance to do it and contact Pitt to get involved in it so that it could be produced which he did !
haha jabronees, awesome, never heard an always sunny reference on here.
Those who boo-ed were the the three loosers who watched jen's Management ! Nothing really serious.

My, how hateful the Christian's really are!
hockibabe, please don't judge all people that believe in Christ as the same type of people it is so sad that you are judging all of us as we are the same. I don't do that to you or the non-believers in here.
I can't wait to see this movie. It's got to be good if the Bible Thumpers hate it.
