Russell Brand Deported from Japan for Criminal Past
Katy Perry was up in arms on
Twitter earlier today, after officials in Japan deported her husband, British comedian
Russell Brand, right out of the country.
"My husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place." She added the hashtag
#tokyodreamcrushed.
So why was the 35-year-old funnyman booted from the Land of the Rising Sun? Apparently old arrests on Brand's record are to blame.
Perry got pretty hashtag-happy (
#mamanothappy!...
#don'tmessw/mahman!) on her followup
tweet, venting: "It was for priors from over 10 years ago!"
She soon calmed down and focused on why she was in Japan -- to perform.
"But of COURSE I ♥ my Japanese fans & the show MUST GO ON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings!" she
tweeted. Perry is in the earthquake-ravaged nation for a series of concerts in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
The 'Teenage Dream' singer even referenced this week's much-maligned evangelical claim that the 'End of Days' was at hand, joking away Brand's swift departure from Japan with the
tweet: "Totes raptured!"
Brand has spoken about the drug-addled lifestyle he kicked before marrying Perry, and he was indeed
arrested in California last year, for scuffling with paparazzi as the couple made their way through airport security at LAX. This weekend, the 'Arthur' star joked about his abrupt deportation, posting a
tweet and photo while being processed in detention: "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."

Give Russell Brand credit for being clean and sober now. I wrote the newest book on how to get sober in a modern world. It flies in the face of old-fashioned programs which perpetuate low self-esteem. Search for the title, "SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety." Escape addiction or learn to avoid trouble later on. Nobody wants to be banned from anywhere, especially if we get another shot at "the rapture." Ha! Read "SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety" by George Legacy.
Please have knowledge of the country you are in before you make irresponsible tweets. First off, Japan has just endured a tragedy, aftershocks are the smallest of their worries, you need not bring that up. Secondly, they are not a whiny culture, could you not whine in your tweets while you are in THEIR Country taking THEIR much needed money now that they face this catastrophe? You act like an ignorant spoiled princess.

Japan is the great safe country it is today because they do not let criminals enter. Unlike America, we let everyone in no matter.

A lot of the criminals in the U.S. are Americans. We just let more enter.
Let's hear it for the Japanese!!!!..................
Can we do that?????

Sue - The scary thing about Russell is that he makes a good case for the validity of evolution. He is one Hairy Ape and acts like one.
Why in the world, with all that is going on in Japan, would anyone want to be there?

I don't blame the Japanese from barring a convicted Hollywood druggie from their country. They have every right to keep undesirables out.

Kudos to the Japanese - unlike the US, they don't put up with crap in their country!
Now can we deport him for being a talentless, over rated hack?????

No doubt that being a Brit, he'll be fast-tracked for U.S. citizenship, if he doesn't already have it.
What I want to know is how Brand ever was allowed to live in the USA with drug arrests in the UK..even tho he is married to a US citizen should have banned a vis to live here..I cam here over 30 years ago and nearly had to submit my left testicle to the INS at the time to get a green card...go figure, guess money talks and the Immigration dept. walks...sad for us.

At least when they make laws in Japan, they enforce them. Not like some other country errrrr we all know.

so he made some mistakes in his past, who cares. he seems to be doing better now.

Wish the US would deport all illegal aliens, and maybe their employers should go too!
