'The Celebrity Apprentice' Finale: And the Winner Is... (Video)

After a long and memorable season of 'Celebrity Apprentice' it came down to just two. Either Marlee Matlin or John Rich would be fired by Donald Trump, with the other becoming the fourth celebrity winner in the most popular format of the reality staple.

Except, the Trump decided to do something a little differently this time around. Rather than fire one of them, he simply declared a winner. Was this a statement as to how much he respected the person who came in second, or just him trying something new?

Of Matlin, Trump said "You've raised more money than anybody in a single night, over a million dollars. The job you've done is just absolutely incredible." Of Rich, he said, "From the beginning you've been a leader. You've been strong. You've been smart. You've been sharp. I just can't ask for anything more.

But there can be only one. "I'm going to do something a little different tonight," Trump told his live audience. "The winner of 'The Celebrity Apprentice 2011' is John Rich."

I have a sibling with a disability so at first I was cheering for Mrs. Matlin as well. Then her true colors came out. John Rich is supporting sick children here in the U.S. which, with the cuts to healthcare, is an excellent choice considering St. Judes turns NO ONE away. I think that that by stating he is a "redneck" just shows what kind of person you are (no I am not a country fan AT ALL). Both had their hearts and soul into this and Trump made the right choice.

Where was grandma froggy Dionne Warwitch? I was looking forward to her showing up for the finale, and talking about the "problems" she had with others on the show. I think that her appearance on the show was detrimental to her career, so she didn't want to do any more damage. Alot of people were disgusted with her when she showed her true colors.

Marlee's team organized with no direction from her. She just got lucky. John was the winner -- pure and simple.

I am so happy John won, this man has such a big heart, when he offered to pay the money for meatloaf if his charity lost against his I was thrown back. Because NOBODY has ever done this. He moves heaven and earth for children and this man it the true winner. Right choice Trump! Great Job John! Congrats!

John Rich deserved to win Celebrity Apprentice. I think all of his tea mates would agree. He played smart and seldom lost his cool. Marlee Matlin was a poor player and team Captain. She let people run all over here and when she wouldn't do anything they had to take charge. I think because she's deaf she thought she had the advantage, it takes more than that to win and she just didn't have it.
