Princess Beatrice's fascinator, which she wore for the Royal Wedding, has been auctioned off for over $130,000.E! Online is reporting that the (in)famous hat, which was put on eBay for auction, was sold on Sunday for a staggering £81,100.01 (approximately $131,000+).
The money raised through the auction will be donated to UNICEF UK and Children in Crisis through Princess Beatrice's Little Bee Initiative campaign.
The proud new owner of the Philip Treacy creation was not revealed, as eBay said that the winner was an anonymous bidder.
The headpiece was an instant eye catcher and grabbed headlines around the world. It even has its own Facebook page and has been compared to everything from a giant pretzel to a toilet seat.

Some IDIOT has more money than they do sense. Stupid hat. Stupid person that would buy the stupid hat.

The "stupid" person you're referring to probably doesn't care about the hat at all -- it's for CHARITY!
Now she can get her teeth fixed.....lol

I truly understand that the money goes to fund two very good charities but to be honest, the hat is very ugly that's just me but on the other hand I'm glad that it did raise a large amount for very causes.

I can't believe that the only picture we ever see of Beatrice is that one! Why doesn't someone show another side of her and interview her so there is more to know of her than just this one hat?! Are people and the media so shallow that this is all they want to report on and dig no further into her or her life?
