The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, better known as William and Kate, are set to visit California in July and Hollywood is already buzzing with royal anticipation. They are arriving in La-La Land on July 8 and may only be spending a mere 24 hours there before visiting San Francisco and Yosemite National Park. Apparently they are eager to see the spectacular Redwood trees.

The Prince, who is the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, has reportedly asked the organization to come up with some events.

A BAFTA insider told Britain's Daily Mail, "We are suggesting several ideas, including a tea party, a cricket match and also a more formal gala evening to promote the British film industry."

Meanwhile the paper reports that Victoria Beckham is apparently booking her caesarian section a few days before the royal visit to ensure she doesn't miss out on any of the action. Elton John and hubby David Furnish have offered to throw a party to welcome the couple to Hollywood and 'Forrest Gump' producer Steve Tisch is rumored to also be throwing a bash for them.
