The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, better known as William and Kate, are set to visit California in July and Hollywood is already buzzing with royal anticipation. They are arriving in La-La Land on July 8 and may only be spending a mere 24 hours there before visiting San Francisco and Yosemite National Park. Apparently they are eager to see the spectacular Redwood trees. The Prince, who is the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, has reportedly asked the organization to come up with some events.
A BAFTA insider told Britain's Daily Mail, "We are suggesting several ideas, including a tea party, a cricket match and also a more formal gala evening to promote the British film industry."
Meanwhile the paper reports that Victoria Beckham is apparently booking her caesarian section a few days before the royal visit to ensure she doesn't miss out on any of the action. Elton John and hubby David Furnish have offered to throw a party to welcome the couple to Hollywood and 'Forrest Gump' producer Steve Tisch is rumored to also be throwing a bash for them.

I think they're an attractive couple and they seem to be able to actually carry on a conversati0on, but I don't need to hang out with them.

Enough! I'm sick and tired of hearing about their every move! Since we're at it, let's throw Pippa on ANOTHER cover of a magazine! Can we all move on?!

"Celebs" actually think it will raise their stock value if they brown nose the royal couple. Wills and Kate couldn't care less about celebrities. They're on a goodwill tour.
Maybe if American celebrities were as human, humble, and humanitarian as the royal couple is, they'd get more respect from us.

Then why are they going to Hollyweird ??? The celebrity town, they are just as fasinated with Hollywood royalty as you are
Ah, the pacific coast and the Sequoia's are the only reason to visit California at all. Beautiful. Every time I hear about a fire anywhere near the redwoods or Big Sir I cringe! Before anyone says anything, I was born and raised in California. Just wouldn't want to live there any more. Why? Take your pick. Make something up. Tell me I'm not wanted there either. I don't care. It's not the California I grew up in. And NO it isn't better now!

I agree...I too was born and raised in CA and couldn't wait to leave. Too many people, too much crime and violence...I remember the days when Disneyland was surrounded by dairy farms (No, I am not so old as to be eligible for Medicare yet!). The northern coast, San Fran and the Redwoods are about the only things of beauty left...it's amazing the CA legislature hasn't found a way to cover these areas with concrete as they have everything else. The Duke and Duchess will be seeing the best CA has to offer.
Tell them to stay in England
