Zach Galifianakis is sure upping the ante when it comes to his on-air drug use. Forget marijuana, Galifianakis is clamoring to join the big leaguers who partake in the high-life.

In October 2010, Galifianakis set the Internet on fire after his appearance on Bill Maher's 'Real Time.' Maher threw up a still shot of Galifianakis smoking a joint on the show and announced that the clip of that appearance "got over 2 million hits on YouTube."

In an effort to generate even more buzz, Maher pulled out a tray with all the paraphernalia to shoot Galifianakis up with heroin.

"Never done this before in my life," Galifianakis admitted. "Yeah, everything's ending, so let's just do it."

Of course, everything didn't end as predicted, so now Galifianakis has to deal with the aftermath of his decision. What on earth can they do to top shooting up heroin live on the air?

please do not show people shooting up or doing any drugs, if you had a loved one in jail for stealing to get his fix and the lives and sadness felt every day by everyone who is affected you might be more be more careful why glorify it

How incredibly stupid it was to do this on tv cable or not. Maher will do anything for publicity and Galfianakis is an arrogant fool who thinks he is just great....NOT. HBO better start watching what Maher does on their network. He is sad.

Last time I checked, Maher is NOT being broadcast on the bloody Cartoon Network! This was done on the premium CABLE show 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (you know, an ADULT show about political humor), and at a time when 'kids' should be in bed! If you're going to cry FOUL 'for the sake of the children', how about first BLAMING parents who allow 'young impressionable minds' to watch ADULT humor?!

IT WAS A JOKE! Did you even WATCH the show?! In any case, what 'kid' watches this show? I take that back - maybe more kids SHOULD watch more shows about politics, that way we won't have another generation of sheeple who can only handle 5 second fluff sound-bites off Fox News!

That was awful. No laughing matter. The joint, yes, got laughs from Bill's audience. Heroin doesn't make for entertainment. Very stupid. What Grafianakis can do next? Use better judgment in movie roles, for starters.

My 20 year old niece died last year of a heroin overdose after getting shut up for the first time. I usually have a real good sense of humor but this is really not something to just laugh of no matter how fake it was.
