'Bachelor' Winner Emily Maynard Returns Brad Womack's Ring

If there was any question about the status of Emily Maynard and Brad Womack's relationship (or lack there of), the answer is now crystal clear. The winner of 'The Bachelor' has reportedly returned her engagement ring.

According to Us Weekly, Maynard was spotted running errands in Charlotte, N.C., without the rock Womack presented to her on 'The Bachelor' finale, with an insider confirming that she has returned it to ABC.

Sources claim that the couple's long-distance relationship was just too hard to continue, with a source telling Us, "It's completely over now."

Maynard is reported to have initiated the breakup, which happened about two weeks ago after she visited Womack's home in Austin, Texas, in a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship.

"Emily is happy in Charlotte [North Carolina] and is not moving to Austin with [her 5-year-old daughter] Ricki," a source told Us. "She is content."

The breakup comes as no surprise to those keeping tabs on the reality couple. Trouble has been brewing in paradise since the March finale, where the couple's body language gave some clues into their icy relationship.

Who knows, maybe third time's a charm for Womack?

Is everyone blind??? Brad has MAJOR issues and he will NEVER change. He was so UPTIGHT and ANGRY (and that was in front of a camera) Can you image when the cameras were gone and things didn't go his way??? Emily was the lucky one to get out before domestic violence hit...he would have been a control freak and not a terrible example for Ricki

Watching it happen on TV, it was OBVIOUS she was NOT ready for another relationship, and unless she does something vital to change this around, she'll be alone the rest of her life. As for him, he probably is hot tempered, and I just don't see her able to cope with that.

He had stars in his eyes when he looked at her, and I don't know why guys think this is what makes a relationship work (sorry,this is a bit personal!), but BUTTERFLIES don't guarantee a relationship! Had he picked the other girl, which was much more suited for him, they would probably be together at this point planning babies. They had great chemistry, got along amazingly, and being best friends is vital for a relationship to work.

Too bad for them.

Brad and Emily were never meant to be. Brad is a player and Emily is too. They played games with their relationship. Emily is too young for Brad. They used Ricki like a puppy not realizing the responsibilities if they did get married. If they were really in love, they would have worked it out geographically. Emily does not want to uproot and move to Austin. We saw her life. It was good. Brad is a male Bar fly that wants to watch his sports games and work all hours of the nite. Emily wants someone to rub her tootsies but send them home. Shame on both, they should have never gone on the show. Brad has some personality disorder and Emily thinks she is a princess. Never liked either one.
