Kirstie Alley Bringing First 'DWTS' Outfit Back, Minus 38 Inches

The incredibly shrinking Kirstie Alley will step into an altered version of her opening-episode dress on the 'Dancing With the Stars' finale Tuesday. How altered? The costume had to be taken in 38 inches since the last time she wore it to Cha-Cha-Cha to Cee Lo's 'Forget You.'

On Monday's episode, the fan favorite flaunted her new figure in a skin-tight catsuit that showed off the enormity of her weight loss. But just how much she's shed is still a mystery.

"There will be some reveal of that at some point, but I really didn't care," she told the AP. "As long as I kept changing and changing and changing, I really didn't care. It was like, keep whittling, whittling, whittling. And the other thing that's really more significant to me - I mean, I love the whittling, I like being skinny - I'm really strong and really agile and it gave me a new life."

In early March Alley told Us Weekly that she had lost 60 pounds on her current diet and wanted to shed another 30 or 40 on 'DWTS.'

Even while losing so much weight, she has still been the butt of fat jibes from comedians, most notably George Lopez and Chelsea Handler.

But she's having the last laugh and is a clear favorite to win the mirror ball trophy over actress Chelsea Kane and footballer Hines Ward. All her weight-losing has kept the show's designer busy.

"We are constantly taking in and altering Kirstie's costumes," said Randall Christensen. "Isn't she looking incredible?!"

She's also apparently wearing out her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who tells AOL TV that this season has left him "drained."

"I don't know," he shared. "It takes a lot out of you. When you invest that much of you into something that's supposed to be just work you [can] get misinterpreted. I don't know [if I'm coming back]. We'll see. Right now, I'm drained."

Wow, imagine that you can acutally lose weight when you exercise. He knew? DUH!!! Of course, Kirstie losing weight!!!!!! Question is what will happen when this stupid show ends?

TRUE! Just like Oprah, she will gain it all back. She's been doing that for years. I am so proud of her weight loss, tho no matter how short-lived it might be.

Kristie looks great, and she is working VERY, VERY hard to loose that weight, and some of you out there are still picking on her, damed if she does, damed if she don't, you all na sayers out there should have to go threw what she is, with some people the weight just wouldn't budge unless you pull out the guns like she did. I think she is amazing..keep up the good work.

Don't get me wrong, Kirstie looks great but someone should tell her and the DWTS wardrobe department that spandex is a privilege, not a right....

This woman is 60 years old, been in the public eye for years, accepted criticism from everyone, and still goes out there and makes it happen. If you're not doing the same thing, shut up! Congratulations, Kirstie, you definately have my respect.

A COW OUT TO PASTURE....I had the pleasure of being a guest at DWTS during the semi-finals and the TV and these pictures do not do her justice. She looks fantastic and darlin you wouldn't know a cow if you saw one! Why take the time to be so nasty...guess you have nothing better to do...must of been the school bully!!!!!!

I am for Kirstie as the winner, but noticed something she said on Leno that may not be 100% true. She said she went from a 12 to a 6. While she has slimmed down considerably and looks great- some parts of her body don't look like any size 6 I ever saw. Just sayin'.

Kirstie looks amazing. She got totaly screwed last night, Chelsea was terrible, out of step,out of timing, just bad. But she pulled a perfect score? This show is soooo fixed.
