Rocker Lenny Kravitz has joined the ever-growing cast of 'The Hunger Games' in a very fashionable role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kravitz will take on the role of Cinna, a fashion stylist who designs outrageous costumes for Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) to wear while participating in the Hunger Games. Cinna develops a close friendship with Katniss, and his designs help shape her character.

'Hunger Games' director Gary Ross believes Kravitz has what it takes to fill Cinna's shoes.

"When I saw Lenny's work in 'Precious,' I was just knocked out," Ross said. "It was quiet and strong and understated and open-hearted: all qualities which define this character."

Kravitz joins Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Stanley Tucci in the much-anticipated film adaptation of the hit book. The film is set for a March 23, 2012 release.
