Maria Shriver Hires Detective to Probe Arnold Schwarzenegger's Past

Maria Shriver is done living in the dark -- she has hired a private investigator to dig into her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger's, past as she prepares a strategy for her divorce proceedings, according to Radar Online.

Shriver is reportedly suspicious that Schwarzenegger may have fathered more than one extra-marital child -- as many, including those close to the family, say he has.

"The investigator will likely look into the claims that he fathered multiple children, outside their marriage," a source told Radar. "Maria has heard the rumors and she wants to find out one way or another, if those claims are true."

Shriver has also hired pricey LA attorney, Laura Wasser, to handle the divorce proceedings, a case that will most likely land Shriver a mega-million dollar payout -- the couple is reported to be worth $200 to $400 million. Although the pair may have a pre-nuptial agreement in place, California law allows such an agreement to be challenged in court.

"Maria is leaving no stone unturned and she has authorized a private detective to gather personal and business information about Arnold," the source said. "Maria needs and wants to know exactly what she is dealing with."

Shriver's PI will also look into how exactly Schwarzenegger was able to financially support Mildred Patricia Baena, the mother of his love child (who is now 13-years-old), without Shriver's knowledge.
"Maria wants to know exactly how much money Patty received from Arnold ... She wants to know everything, period," the insider continued.

No camera needed, Schwarzenegger's life seems to be turning into one of his on-screen thrillers.

If Arnold paid off Mildred with "joint account" monies, he owes it all back to Maria!! She should not let Mildred have what was rightfully her and her family. I wonder if Arnold had a separate checking account or whether he took from family's account for his lover? This is a real MESS! Mildred can also be sued by Maria, but best go after Arnold as Maria doesn't have much now that she's out of work!!! LOL

They both had separate accounts -- did not mix their monies -- that's why she didn't know he was paying off the hired help, etc.

It's all his money, he can do whatever he wants with it. And don't give that "she's a mother and his wife and she deserves half" crap. Fact is, she doesn't do anything. She doesn't work. She has nannies for the kids, maids to clean the house, chefs to cook, and landscapers to maintain the garden. SHE DESERVES NOTHING BUT A SWIFT KICK IN THE A**!

I don't think it was a good idea to hire a detective. She's going to find out so many things that she would be better off not knowing.

However, when she finds these things out, she should splash them all over the news to humiliate the jerk.

Okay.. my take. The press will have a field day with this and the ONLY people who are going to get hurt are the children. Whether legitimate or illegtimate, they are innocent victims. Arnold's children already know their father has no morals or scruples. Digging up more dirt will only hurt the children more and cause pain for those women who might have had his child but do NOT want the world to know. They might be protecting their chidren instead of throwing them under the bus. Arnold's children may end up hating their father which will hurt them more because in reality, most children want to love their parent. They will live with severe inner conflict. Marie needs to stop digging, make him suffer for what is already known instead of trying to find more innocent children.

I have never forgiven my Father for what he did to my Mother. Mental health professionals will tell the children that it's okay for them to mad at their Father. It will take a long for his children to heal over this and Arnold should have thought about that this. I'm sure that Maria will find the right person for these kids to talk to, so they can start the grieving process. I wish all the children involved can find the peace they need.

Did you ever stop to think that Maria needs to know for her own psychological welfare? She may need this for closure and to help her children through this muck. I wish her the best and with God's help, she will be o.k.

Give him he77 Maria. She also has to teach her children that you don't treat other people the way that Arnold has treated Maria and get away w/ it. They certainly are not going to learn that from Arnold. Get him Maria!!

On another note, Maria has known about this since January - we all just found out about it now. So she has time (4 months) to get over the shock of it all. I think that is why she is not hiding. Unlike Sandra Bullock who found out about her dirtbag at the same time we all did.

Either way, I am with Maria 100% ... Arnold should have known not to screw over a Kennedy.

Maria and her kids deserve literally every penny of Arnold's. Sadly, though, for the illegitimate son (and others, if there are any), he also deserves to be supported so in a sense if the mistress pays it back, you are also taking from that child, he needs to be supported in whatever lifestyle he has been accustomed to, plus any trauma he is suffering as a result of this.
