Sofia Coppola Plans to Wed Father of Her Children

Forget the cameras, Sofia Coppola is calling 'action' on a different kind of plot -- her own. The director is currently planning her wedding to longtime musician beau, and father of her two children, Thomas Mars.

The pair is planning to make it official at Coppola's father, Francis Ford Coppola's, southern Italian estate, Palazzo Margherita, in August.

"Yes, they are getting married and having an intimate family wedding," Coppola's rep told People.

The 'Lost in Translation' director, 40, and Phoenix frontman, 34, have two children together -- Romy, 4, and Cosima, 1. We have no doubt that the couple's nuptials will be fit for the silver screen.

Marrying the father of your children? What a novel idea.

Well, 5 years late but at least they're doing it. Congratulations and many happy returns! Oh,and please find a screenwriter for your next movie, Ms. Coppola. You've gone as far as you can with hotel guests.

Ahh bummer. She is such a beautiful woman. I remember her in Godfather part III, and as much as I loved the movie, I thought she really made the movie. I never did understand why she didn't pursue acting. Still, she's also a great directer. God Bless her and best wishes for her wedding, family and future

Actually, she nearly destroyed the movie (every critic and most fans thought so). But I have to say that she looks very nice now and I wish her well.

Her great talents are behind the camera, and I hope she continues on that path.

So she's marrying the father of her children! What a novel idea!I suppose there is something to be said for the fact that they're still together after two kids. Anyone want to mke a bet on how long it will last after they get married?

um you can't always plan when your going to have children did you expect Soffia to abort their two daughters. she's a bad actres when she has to speak on camera but when she doesn't she's fine case in point playing the baby boy in the Christening scene of The Godfather.
