'Teen Mom' Star Gary Shirley Arrested

'Teen Mom' star Gary Shirley was arrested in Alexandria, Indiana on Tuesday morning for driving with a suspended license, RadarOnline.com reports.

Shirley was detained after he was found arguing with the mother of his daughter and 'Teen Mom' co-star Amber Portwood in a car on the side of the road at 1:34 a.m. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

RadarOnline.com obtained the official police report. "I observed a Silver Dodge stopped on the south side of Berry Street. I could hear a female arguing with a male inside the vehicle..." the report said.

"I asked the male sitting in the driver seat if everything was ok and he advised yes. The female advised that everything was fine. I advised them that I had heard them arguing and wanted to make sure. I asked the both for identification... The male introduced himself and the female as Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood from 'Teen Mom'."

Shirley had to be detained with two sets of handcuffs. "I placed Mr. Shirley in two sets of handcuffs due to his size. Both sets of handcuffs were checked for tightness and doubled locked," the report stated.

The reality TV star was released on $3,000 bond.

I too agree, it's one thing to be a nitwit, but it's terrible to be a nitwit and portray yourself to be a star. Hmmm, my license is suspended so why don't I raise a ruckus out on the street in my car at 1:30 in the morning. I'm a star so I can do that.

I think it is a shame of the producers & TV execs. to take advantage of mentally challenged people. There have to be some mentally challenged people in the families of some of these producers & execs. I wonder how they would like a show made about their mentally challenged relations?

A real shame to have mentally challenged people on, so all of America can make fun of them.

This "show" should be cancelled! Nothing entertianing about a bunch of teens who haven't a clue of what real life is about who have babies for the sake of getting and staying on a pathetic reality show.

And on top of it, they are all trouble= getting arrested, domestic abuse, etc.

MTV should be ashamed of itself. Where are the parents to all these troubled teens?
