'Teen Mom' Star Gary Shirley Arrested

'Teen Mom' star Gary Shirley was arrested in Alexandria, Indiana on Tuesday morning for driving with a suspended license, RadarOnline.com reports.

Shirley was detained after he was found arguing with the mother of his daughter and 'Teen Mom' co-star Amber Portwood in a car on the side of the road at 1:34 a.m. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

RadarOnline.com obtained the official police report. "I observed a Silver Dodge stopped on the south side of Berry Street. I could hear a female arguing with a male inside the vehicle..." the report said.

"I asked the male sitting in the driver seat if everything was ok and he advised yes. The female advised that everything was fine. I advised them that I had heard them arguing and wanted to make sure. I asked the both for identification... The male introduced himself and the female as Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood from 'Teen Mom'."

Shirley had to be detained with two sets of handcuffs. "I placed Mr. Shirley in two sets of handcuffs due to his size. Both sets of handcuffs were checked for tightness and doubled locked," the report stated.

The reality TV star was released on $3,000 bond.

I love the fact that he named dropped himself and Amber. As if they are such big stars the cop would immediately know them and let them go.

They introduced themselves as Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood from 'Teen Mom'? Somebody has the self-entitlement angle down. Their kid should be put into the system because these two idiots couldn't be trusted to raise a puppy.

I think it is wrong for a cop to be able to take you out of a car setting, key word is setting,on the side of the road doing nothing but talking or in their case hollering and take you to jail.And did you notice they had done nothing wrong and he could ask for identification but yet they cant ask a Mexican for proof.Whats wrong with this picture?Wake up America!!!

no a cop shouldnt take people out of a car, unless they are drunk or drugged. or fighting. but lets leave the lationos out of this. at least when they have babies they love them and take care of them.mexican people have more values than the blacks, whites etc.

Since this officer heard and observed these two individuals arguing and needed to intervene he had every right to ask for their ids. If he hadn't, and the argument had escalated into violence after he left, there would be people who would have questioned why he didn't take additional steps to rectify this situation. However, I do agree, this should be the case whether the ethnicity is Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Hispanic, whatever.
@ Polly, pretty broad statement regarding Hispanics loving their children more than whites or blacks. Let's keep the focus on individuals, not grouping entire races together.

my heart just aches for the sweet little girl that is caught in between the B.S. that surrounds these two...when you have a child, you need to sacrifice your own needs to be sure tht child has a loving, stable home, with 1 parent or 2, or with another family member, should the parents prove to be unfit. it seems these two just can't do that...I pray that this child is able to find stability soon, as I'm sure her parents love her dearly, but they just can't control their own drama....

Someone needs to get this beautiful babygirl out of these wacko parents hands. From watching the show, all they did was fight and Amber would hit him while he was holding that baby. That poor kid is going to have soo many problems if they let these 2 keep this little girl. Make sure she gets her tubes tied while you're at it, oh my if she has another child. I understand they are still young but once you have a child, it's time to mature up!!
