Forget lifeguarding or mowing lawns, 15-year-old Abigail Breslin has found a summer gig that's a little more lucrative. The 'Little Miss Sunshine' star earned $275,000 in one week for her small role in the forthcoming flick, 'New Year's Eve,' according to TMZ.Breslin's minor contract, which she filed at the LA County Superior Court last week, also sites that she's guaranteed to land an additional $100K if the flick grosses more than $150 million in domestic box offices.
Plus, if Breslin must deign to film additional scenes past the production date, she's is set to earn $39,285 per day for her work. We have a feeling that Hollywood's latest rising star, who's been in the business for close to a decade, won't be asking mommy and daddy for an allowance.

Thats 39,999 too much! whovever paid that will never get a return on their investment. This Abigail is no more talented than someone of star search that didnt make the show!

Well if we can pay millions to apes that simply run and jump with a ball, or ho's that parade around on stage half naked, like a chimpanzee in heat screaming nonsence into a microphone, then this beautiful and talented young lady is way underpaid
I know and she can't even hit a slider, or run the 40 yard dash in under 4 seconds, or hit a 3 pointer in basketball. All she can do is pose in front of a camera.
Ridiculous is all I can say!!!

She looked older and different! WOW

She should probably save her money. She was a GREAT child actress, but she's not a child anymore. She faces a tough transition to adult actress.

Interesting news item, but it really bothers me that the writer uses "sites" instead of "cites" in the following sentence: "Breslin's minor contract, which she filed at the LA County Superior Court last week, also sites that she's..." We can't always rely on spell check.

Another yawner - a nobody getting press! Gee, whatever happened to covering real pros like Meryl Streep and Judy Davis????

given the fact she is young and working, which is a bonus, and the fact she has real talent, she just might grow to be an old pro. how do you think you get to be an old pro? by not working and just showing up somewhere someday.

You People are crazy, This Girl was nominated for an Oscar when she was like 9, Theres a hell of alot of people out there who earn WAY more money than someone with her talent i.e. The Jersey shore cast, just because we/ myself don't earn that much money its no reason for you people to criticize.
