Kara DioGuardi Accidentally Ate Pot Brownies at Paula Abdul's House (Video)

What happens when you take two former 'American Idol' judges and give them pot brownies? Well, it's not as fun as it may sound.

Former 'Idol' judge and current star of 'Platinum Hit' Kara DioGuardi once found herself "high as a kite" at Paula Abdul's house after accidentally eating pot brownies and the trip landed her in the hospital.

DioGuardi told George Lopez on 'Lopez Tonight' Wednesday that she was once staying at Abdul's house and found herself hungry.

"The maid at the time found some brownies in the freezer and put them in the refrigerator ... I hadn't really eaten much that night," DioGuardi said, telling Lopez she had about six of the tiny brownies without realizing they were...special.

"Six hours later I was like, 'What's going on?'" she said. "I fell out of bed, on the floor and stumbled down stairs ... and the ambulance comes, and this guy is like, 'This b-tch is high as a kite!"

DioGuardi said she spent the following three days sick in bed. "I was hallucinating, I was on an IV. I stumbled out like junkie ... it was bad news!"

But before anyone jumps to conclusions, DioGuardi, who claims she drinks but doesn't smoke marijuana, said the brownies weren't Abdul's -- someone had left them in her freezer after a party.

This sounds like BS to me! She found pot brownies in Abduls fridge but they didnt belong to Abdul?? Sounds more like she was drunk. maybe she should quit drinking. Alchol is the worse drug that there is.

They had to make up a story to shift the blame from Paula to someone else. Meanwhile they probably were Paula's brownies. Now we know why she looked like she was out of it on American Idol a lot of times.

This is rediculice. I have eaten such brownies and smoked pot heavily in the past and there is no way these brownies if they contained only pot would do this to a person. First of all once the pot is baked like this it is less potent in my opinion. You could eat the whole pan and not end up like this as pot gets you only so high which is the equvilent of maybe 2 drinks.The only other explanation is she was allergic to pot which as we all know is a weed.Bunch of crap if you ask me. jmo

I like Kara, I think she is a babe, and highly talented, but this story has possibly been embelished just a wee bit.

Eating pot brownies is not going to do that to a person unless it was laced with some very serious stuff.Especially if she was not a pot smoker anyway.

I dunno, this story could be just to get attention.

Oh puh-leeze! Marijuana doesn't put you in the hospital with IVs being pumped into your arm. This sounds like a bunch of bull. Hallucinations...? Well weed doesn't do that either. Sounds like it was some other form of drugs in the brownies- not pot.

So Kara went to Paula's house, fell down with her mouth open, and the brownie just "accidentally" flew into her mouth and she "accicentally" chewed it and "accidentally" swallowed it.

I'd believe Casey Anthony's story faster than that whopper, but that's her story and she's sticking to it.
