Lauren Alaina: Scotty McCreery 'Might Be My Boyfriend'

As the confetti was raining down on 'American Idol' winner, Scotty McCreery, we found ourselves leaning closer to the TV saying, 'Wait, did they just?' Before cutting away from the pair a moment too soon, it looked as though runner up, Lauren Alaina, planted a kiss on the American idol.

Just after the smooch, when asked if the duo were in fact an item, Alaina told Entertainment Tonight, "he might by my boyfriend ... ask him."

But Alaina may be riding the relationship train solo, when asked about the pair's off-screen relationship McCreery made it clear that he is definitely "still single," although he admits that they have "gotten really close, but I don't know about the more than friends stuff."

So is McCreery holding out on the "more than friends stuff" for one of the thousands of young ladies who would love to call the country crooner their beau.

"The ladies weren't like this back before 'American Idol,' it was tough on me back home," he said.

With the Idols Live Summer tour fast approaching, perhaps the pair will have what it takes to make things official on the road.

First, and foremost. I think everyone is making too big a deal. He kissed her, and she kissed him on the cheek about five times too. I think they just got caught up in the moment..were really excited for scotty..and just smooched. They didnt french kiss, or even kiss for longer than a second or two..and if you watch it closely you'll see his lips were just on the side of her lips. Like brothers and sisters kiss all the time. or family memebers, or hey really good friends.

Second: If there is more going on , and I do mean IF. WHO CARES what they look like. If they like each other..thats all that matters. I'm impressed with scotty's character, and laurens attitude about not winning.
They seem to really value each other, (irregardless of whats going on relationship wise). They seem to be pretty outstanding young people. And lauren is definatly beautiful. I wish I had looked like that at her age. Instead I was way too skinny, way to self conscoious and was fearful of even speaking to people, more less getting on a stage and singing and taking the chance to be critigued in a negative way.

If you dont like women with meat on thier bones, thats your perogitive..but just like you would want someone to say "go for the chubby girl dude, skinny is out" you shouldnt be trying to tell scotty who he should pick.

I dont know the kid. But I imagine he's probably give you a real good country, god fearing , and respectful response to you calling his friend fat.

And something tells me that you pretty insecure yourself, if your going to pick on someone you dont even know.
But then..thats this fat redneck womans opinion..by all means..dont listen. :)

Lauren is not chunky at all. She is just the right size and not stick and bones. She also is a beautiful southern belle both inside and out!

Is Lauren a little chubby? well, Yes but, she looks fine. She has it where it counts. She is talented, Sweet and humble.

Here's the deal. She can lose the weight. You however, will always be ugly and we all know, you can't fix ugly.

Sooo... I loved Scotty & Lauren at the beginning and I SOOO called them being together.. didnt notice it untill they kissed at the finale.But is Scotty really as gentlemanly as he seems? Everyone who watched the finale had to have clearly said "Love you Baby " to Lauren when he was singing his song at the end. Sooo Scotty is either a player, or him and Laurent decided to keep their relationship secret to avoid the media. What do you think?

Good Lord, GIVE THESE KIDS A BREAK! They're only teenagers. Do they have to be in a "relationship" just because a quick kiss went between them at the A.I. finale? Why do either of them have to be rushed? They can't even buy a beer legally! I am happy for both of them and their talent, their looming careers in the music business, and their lives in general. Please, can't we just let them enjoy it for a few more months without all the angst about who is dating whom? Scotty said he has to go back and take an English test at school. Let them be normal, please!

How could you say such a thing? Lauren is a BEAUTIFUL young lady! Yes, she was a little chubby AT FIRST but now she has lost some weight and is beautiful! Scotty can chose to date whoever he wants. But he's already married to me! :)
