Lindsay Lohan Begins House Arrest Today

We hope Lindsay Lohan is comfortable in her crib because she's going to be spending a lot more time there, starting today. Earlier this morning, Lohan arrived at the Lynwood Jail before returning to her Venice, California home to begin her house arrest sentence, according to People.

"She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times," LA Sheriff's spokesman, Steve Whitmore, told People.

To keep Lohan in check, officers fitted the 24-year-old starlet with an electronic ankle monitoring bracelet that will not allow Lohan to leave her premises.

Although Lohan was originally sentenced to four months in jail after pleading no contest to the theft of a $2,500 necklace, it was decided that she would serve her sentence in the comfort of her own home due to facility overcrowding.

People also reports that Lohan could spend as little as two weeks on house arrest if she displays good behavior -- an option made possible due to the city's budget restraints. But she won't get off that easy, Lohan still must complete her 480 ordered hours of community service which she'll split between a downtown LA women's shelter and the county morgue.

Lohan's house arrest sounds more like a relaxing stay-cation to us. And hey, if she gets lonely, she can always throw a house party.

I hope this is the end of a long line of mistakes she has made. Her parents have made this monster and should be held accountable. She is a no talent, attention seeking has-been, Stop giving her her 15 minutes of fame and maybe she will go away. Don;t we have better things to discuss? If she were not a Hollywood so-called actress her butt would be in jail and not home in her cushy surroundings. If it were you or I we would be in jail, not allowed to be home.

What a joke...........she's really getting a hard lesson here. I'd like to know who else gets off this easy because of budget issues with the jail.
It's really too bad, no lesson learned and she'll be back soon, hopefully if she lives thru her next escapades..........good luck with that.

Yeah, they really came down hard on her didn' they...all those past violations and thumbing her finger at the court. Equal justice for the Hollywood and political elite...while you and I would have been under one hell of a bond and had jail time to serve.

Lindsey needs to have an experience that brings her back to her humanity...she is just a person like the rest of us but she has a real problem. If she throws a party that would not be good behavior and well she would dig a very deep hole in her ever receiving any crediblity in her life. If she did that she may as well get job at some low paying job, if they would take her.
The Truth is the truth. Lindsey only has one truth she needs to be sober for the rest of her life to be successful.
