Taylor Swift's 'The Story of Us' video tells a familiar story.Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl have confusing split. Boy and girl awkwardly see each other post-breakup.
The song was inspired by the country superstar's run-in with an ex at an awards show (Joe Jonas? John Mayer perhaps?).
"Afterward, I just felt so empty, like we were both fighting this silent war of pretending we didn't care that the other was there," she tells MTV. "And I went home, and I wrote this song about it."
The setting of the clip, however, is not an awards show but rather a school library.

I wonder if Swift cares to present a video showing her getting some badly-needed singing lessons?

I'm not bashing or anything but it seems like taylor is still stuck in the teenage mindset. I mean she's 20-something and still singing about high-school love. Her lyrics have not been maturing.

Heard the song (by accident) on the radio last week. This girl's music is just a variation on a theme. It all sounds the same, it's interchangeable. Can't imagine the appeal other than to 13-16yo girls who go through boyfriends every 6 weeks.
Actually it's a return to a style she hasn't done for a while (if you've been paying attention) and her track record has expanded. Seeing as she's one of the highest-earning people on the planet, she doesn't bump, grind, dress-up in clown suits (ga-ga, ga-ga)and she's the youngest person ever honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, I'd say she's doing okay.

the S H O F have apparently lowered their songwriting standards; not to mention someone with so much "beauty" and "talent" cant seem to keep a boyfriend - maybe that is her curse
