15-Year-Old Kendall Jenner on Birth Control

With one sister whose sex tape catapulted her into fame and another who was saddled with a surprise pregnancy, we're not entirely shocked that 15-year-old Kendall Jenner is on the pill.

In the teaser promo for the new season of 'Keeping up with the Kardashians,' Bruce Jenner is less than pleased when he finds his daughter's stash of birth control pills.

"She is on birth control, but I'm the one who has all the talks with her," Khloe Kardashian told E! News.

But we're not quite sure that Khloe's often foul-mouthed advice will put daddy Jenner at ease.

Kardashian continued, "It's not that reason why she's on birth control," insinuating that Jenner's use of the pill is for other medical issues.

Whatever the reason, we have a feeling that the there will be no shortage of drama when the new season kicks off on June 12.

I guess I was a different kind of parent. I taught my daughter well. 19 years and counting still a virgin. And yes, I believe her. She tells me EVERYTHING sometimes I don't even want to know but I listen She's even told me when "it" will actually happen (stomach turning event) She said my talks scared her to death and she just didn't want to take any chances with anything, and ruining her life for some "boy" who doesn't have any real feelings for her. I'll pat myself on the back.

I love how people slam her for being sexually responsible. The real skanks are the girls who screw everything using no protection. ANY person who is having sex needs to take responsibility and she is. Good for her.
How many of the people (or their kids) who talk bad about her are not using anything? There are girls younger than her getting pregnant out there. GOOD FOR HER!
Oh, by the way, polycystic ovary disease is treated with the pill. My daughter was prescribed it by her gynecologist.

Dear Jane. I have MANY friends with the disease so I'm not ignorant to its treatments, BUT the pill doesn't mean someone is being responsible. With all the SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES out there today we are all forgetting the pill doesn't protect against these. The pill just gives some girls the go ahead to "ACT" like a responsible adult. They are not and should not be treated as such.

I was put on the pill at 13 to regulate my period, was on it for 2 years. But, knowing this family, she is on it for the other reason.

Actually, with all the childhood obesity and unnatural hormones in foods these days, there are a lot more girls that have heavier and longer menstrual periods. This isn't true for every girl (and probably isn't true for this girl) but I started mine when I was 10 years old and got put on the pill when I was 13 to control them. Of course, it is good to know that if the pills are for birth control, at least another 15 year old isn't going to be a mommy.

I have never watched this show but you would have to live in a cave not to know who these people are. Kendall Jenner could very well be on the pill for medical reasons. Heavy bleeding, very painful periods, endometriosis (which can start very young) are all possibilities.
Fifteen is too young to be sexually active but if she is, better she is on birth control. How sad that her family sold themselves out for money so that we know such private business. It is bad for the girl and bad for society. Please, everyone, stop watching them!

I HAVE a 15 year old who would be mortified if the world learned she were taking birth control...and she would ONLY be taking it for medical reasons. This show is harmful. I don't understand why people continue to watch.

Who cares why she is on the pill, as long as she is going to the dr, having yearly paps and remembers that being on the pill and having sex doesnt mean she cant get an STD. I was put on the pill because I was getting ovarian cysts, my best friend was put on the pill for severe cramping. Get a life people and stop being so judgemental. If I had a daughter, she would be on the pill when she got her first period, just to be safe. I have a son, and when he gets a gf, Ill give him condoms and get her on the pill if she wants cuz Im not gonna be a gramma till Im 50!

That's ridiculous. Trying to make a big deal out of nothing, I see. The pill can be used to regulate your period, reduce cramps and bone thinning, and help clear your skin if you have serious acne, just to start. And even if it is for protection, good for her. If she wasn't on the pill and she got pregnant you would all rant about how she's an idiot for not taking precautions. Sure, she's young, but at least she's doing something to help herself.

People are not making a big deal that she is on the pill (if anything its responsible in her paret), what people are making a big deal about is the fact they allow this private info make its way on the show and the parents should be ashamed of themselves....things should be left private, and this is cetainly one of them.

Let's not be so quick to judge. I was on birth control to shrink ovarian cysts a few years ago. My sister was put on birth control to regulate her cycle and help clear up acne. Birth control is used for far more than to prevent pregnancy.

I would like to know how E! is getting away with disclosing a medical prescription (confidential) of a minor (confidential) on public television. I would think that would be against the law. I don't care if you like the Kardashian's or not, a minors medical information should be kept private,,,,especially THAT.

It's probably a good thing the way her mother practically "pimps" her daughters out so she can be in the limelight. Why Bruce stays in that marriage is beyond me. It's sad they way they treat him; they almost make a joke of him sometimes and he is a great person.

You're a naive woman, Lyssa. There are MANY valid reasons for 15 year olds to be on birth control pills. Some women on this site need to educate themselves. Yes, there are lasting effects, just like there are lasting effects with everything you take. I was 13 or 14 when I went on it and have been on it since (I'm 21 now), and it was extremely important that I stay on them. I would not have gotten through my teenage years without them. Don't be so dense and close-minded.
