Brad Pitt Opens Up About Parenthood, Marriage

With a daughter turning 5 this weekend (Happy birthday, Shiloh!) and just a few weeks until Father's Day, busy dad Brad Pitt is opening up in a new interview about family life with Angelina Jolie.

"The kids ask about marriage," he tells USA Today over a cup of cappuccino. "It's meaning more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at."

The 'Tree of Life' star, 47, admits that fears about his six kids' safety "keep me up at night." Reflecting on what parenthood means to him, he explains, "Kids hold up a mirror to you....You can't make excuses. You've got to make sure they've brushed their teeth and eaten a good breakfast. You want to be present if they wake up with a bad dream."

A round-the-clock nightmare for the Pitt-Jolie brood? Paparazzi. "We're hunted," he says, "Our kids have to live behind a gate. Outside, there are people with cameras."

"But I'll take the trade-off," he adds. "I never knew I was capable of experiencing so much love."

Sharing a glimpse at how his large family manages a globe-trotting lifestyle, jetting between movie sets and premieres, the actor says the older ones are home-schooled, and he describes the Jolie-Pitt travel style:

"On the road, we're a military mobile unit.... The kids have got their stuff down to one backpack, and they're each responsible for their own bag. Mom does the packing. She's quite gifted at that; puts in just what we need, nothing extra."

"Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us," he adds. "It's not unusual for the kids to be covered in paint. We have mud fights. It's chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that."

And normalcy at home includes keeping love alive between Mom and Dad.

"There are no secrets at our house," Pitt says with a smile. "We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."

Jennifer Aniston a "lonely old skank?" You've got to be kidding! She is anything but that. She's just made the choice not to play with mud, paint, and surround herself with children from around the world.

Sounds smart to me. Everyone is entitled to their own direction in life. Don't make Brad and Angie's life the gold standard. It's certainly not to me.

I think you better learn how to read. They are not married but are thinking about it because the kids are staring to ask them when they are getting married and now they think they should. HELLO if it takes some little kids to make you get married where is the love. As for Jennifer she is much better off without this putz and was a very lucky person to have gotten out when she did. First off STUPID....Brad and Angie ARE NOT MARRIED!! What planet have you been living on to not know that, but yet you post as if you know it all..and you certainly do not. And, you got your info wrong. Jen is NO skank, but ANGIE sure as heck is!!! She had had sex with just about every man in Hollywood. Everyone knows this except you obvioulsy. Oh heck, there was even an email going around years ago naming everyone she HAS slept with! So get your facts straight next tinme you decided to post something that just makes no sense at all. Jen is able to hold on to a man, she just has not found one she WANTS to hold on to. And as for Brad leaving her for Angie..shows what a SKANK he is as well. ROFL...keep a man????? Duh why does a hoe thinkin that having a fling or enticing a man into a one night stand or a nifarious relationship constitutes getting a man? Aint' nothing wrong with Jennifer but the fact that her husband was an adulterer and Angie...wonderful as she may be in adopting kids ...is an adulterous hoe too ..so they are deserving of each other ..and if they get married LOL one of them will be an adulterer again..my bet it would be ANGIE!!

You are SO blind to "PUBLICITY STUNTS"!!! Why do you never hear how "happy" they are unless they are promoting a movie? They're nasty and I can't wait until their kids grow up and disgrace them as they surely will!

You can't see any love in their eyes, Brad has done nothing but look horrible for ages, and she looks like some one who never eats. She had to get plastic surgery to even look half-way decent for going out anymore.
