Thousands of college graduates at 2011 commencement ceremonies this spring have enjoyed inspiring oratories by the likes of Denzel Washington, former president Bill Clinton, Stevie Wonder and both President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. In a compilation video, CBS News has mashed up the best of the heartfelt pep talks that celebrities have given to the cap-and-gown crowd. (One quibble: the compilation video overlooks Amy Poehler's hilarious speech at Harvard, which gets our vote for one of the best this year.)
'Larry Crowne' star Tom Hanks, addressing a sea of Yale grads, naturally comes across as the most likeable of the bunch. According to Yale Daily News, the bespectacled Oscar winner spoke about the role of both fear and faith in making life choices, and he advised his young audience to remember the sacrifices of American military veterans past and present.
Have a look at some of the famous faces making cameos at universities across the land:

Speeches on this Memorial Day weekend that I am interested in are
who is talking about the sacrifices of the soldiers and in whose honor this day is celebrated. Who is reflecting on the glory of those who have shed blood for us

And what is more important to the President and our first lady, having a "how do you do" with the Queen of England and look at what designer outfit I am wearing instead of being here in the USA at Joplin where hundreds of Amerian citizens have lost their lives plus all the other American citizens who have barely survived and lost everything.
Why is it celebrities give speeches at college graduations? What's next, lotto winners and Justin Bieber teenie-bopper words of wisdom?
146 dead in Joplin. Where is our Prez? Where is the outrage that the left showed to GW after not going to N.O. for 3 days after Katrina?

Well, finding glory for himself! Worst president ever. Change? Well, we are in one of the worst recessions ever with mounting debt. I can't wait to vote 2012.
What does Tom Hanks know other than dressing in drag. Overated is not a strong enought word!
