Report: Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry Have Separated

Actor Christopher Knight and model Adrianne Curry have decided to call it quits on their marriage.

Hollyscoop.com is reporting that the couple's manager, Phil Viardo, confirmed the news of the separation on May 29, the day the couple celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary.

Viardo said, "Actor Christopher Knight and his wife, model and television star Adrianne Curry have announced today on their five-year wedding anniversary that they are separating."

He also released a joint statement from the couple which said, "After starting a relationship with what seemed to be irreconcilable differences, the couple has reached a period where those differences are no longer appreciated. The decision was mutually reached after it became clear to both that some perspective was needed in order to assess their unique union. Not unlike all marriages, work must be put in."

The statement continues, "Obvious to both Knight and Curry was that their marriage would require more effort then a garden-variety relationship. They are taking time to see if they want to continue to put in that extraordinary effort. The couple has mutually determined that they are at a place where moving forward will require a step back. They still love one another but need some distance to consider their future."

The couple have also asked their fans and media to respect their privacy during "this delicate period."

However, on Curry's Twitter page, she wrote a message on the five-year anniversary and did not give any indication that the couple have split, "May 29th, 2006 I married Christopher Anton Knight. Enjoy your weekend! I certainly am!!!"

Knight, 53, is best known for his role as Peter Brady in the hit TV show 'The Brady Bunch.' He met former 'America's Next Top Model' contestant Curry, 28, on the VH1 reality series 'The Surreal Life.'

The show led to a spin-off series called 'My Fair Brady' which documented the couple's engagement and wedding.

To be a bit more on topic, without knowing too much about their relationship, a large age split can be large hurdle. Any relationship has it's hurdles of course, but a big age split can be a major one. Then again for some couples it's not a major issue. I know two couples who had 14 year splits and they were fine, very happily married. But in general yes it can be a big one to deal with.

It is sad and my heart goes out to them. I watched their show and i realized it would be a hard relationship to maintain. Im not the biggest Adrienne fan but Christopher knight was a very difficult personality to deal with. Hes often jaded, bitter and seems to look at life from the negative side. I hope both can mend after their split and best wishes to them.

Bobby Brady! Having watched their reality show, doesn't seem like 5 years, but, the two had big issues before they married. It's amazing they made it to the 5 year mark. A 20 year age difference would be #1, I couldn't imagine hooking up w/ some guy that young. If anyone followed the show, the differences are obvious.

Lapse in memory, yes, it was Peter Brady. The Brady Bunch was on every Friday night at 7, never missed an episode, but, I was in grade school.

I never thought they would make it. Honestly it seemed more like they were getting married to improve ratings. One huge issue was children. One wanted children the other did not. I believe she was the one that wanted children, he did not. That is one issue that will almost always end a relationship. Especially as the woman get's into her 30's and the biological clock starts ticking. I think she believed that he would change his mind because of the show and have a child with her so they could get another season out of it..the pregnancy and birth but apparently on that issue he remained firmly negative.

actually hes about 26 years older then her I knew from the beginning their marriage was doomed hes an old has been STILL AN BRADY!too old for her ..The good thing about Chris Knight hes no dummy utilzed his money very well went to college,his beautiful townhouse that was in the 1st episode is was his before he met adrinne.it not going to work.I agree with you on the age diff.Hes been marry like 4 times get real Chris!,and you keep repeating the same mistake, this time with marrying a child under you..something is wrong in this picture.I think it midlife crisis
