Is 'Real Housewife' Ramona Singer Jealous of Bethenny Frankel?

According to
RadarOnline.com, Singer is upset that her own plan to build a successful business empire like Frankel hasn't worked as well as she hoped, and jealousy is starting to take over.
"Ramona has always been jealous of Bethenny and didn't even want her on the show at first," a source revealed to Radar.
Singer and Frankel appeared together on the first three seasons of 'The Real Housewives of NYC.' In 2010, Frankel left 'Real Housewives' to film her own spin-off show after a tumultuous 'Housewives' season resulted in the disintegration of her friendship with cast member Jill Zarin.
In the current season of 'Housewives,' Singer has found herself in the middle of some negative drama of her own, starting problems with several cast members.
"Ramona is trying to play the sympathy card and came up with a plan to spin her negative press by saying that she is the 'Bethenny' of this season," the source said.
It's reportedly not just the attention Frankel receives that has Singer upset. Sources claim she's jealous of the success of Frankel's Skinnygirl drink brand, and wants the same amount of success for her Ramona Pinot Grigio.
"Ramona has gone to the press to say that Bethenny exaggerated about the amount of money she made with the sale of her Skinnygirl brand because she is seething with jealousy over Bethenny's success," the source said.
Singer is reportedly trying to emulate Frankel's successful business model, and is desperately trying to gain the supportive fan base that helped Frankel rise to fame.
"Ramona thought that if she got in a fight with Jill she could be the Bethenny of this season and gain a ton of fans like Bethenny did and build her wine to be as successful as Bethenny's Skinnygirl brand," the source revealed.

I think RHONY has played out and should not return for another season. Sick of seeing these ladies grab their 15 minutes of fame by being mean to each other. There was some hope for Alex, but she's trying to hog the spotlight attacking her fellow cast members. Understand their actions bring in ratings. Guess that speaks volumes for their audience. Shame on me!

Ramona is a really BIG mess these days, she's drinking more and earlier she seems to be unhappy about herself, she is always picking a fight with people, she has to be right all the time. Ramona you need to get over yourself and act like an Adult and stop acting like a fool.

I think Ramona is a mean-spirted woman who is going through a lot of failed business ventures. I also think because of her failed business ventures & is drinking more alcohol more than ever, she takes out her frustrations on all the cast-mates by attempting by being witty & obnoxious. Sonja is another frustrated lunatic, these two woman are always talking down to people (which is getting super old already). The behavior these two portrayed while in Morocco, is atrocious to say the least. Ramona COULD NEVER, EVER BE Bethenny! Keep dreaming Ramona!

I have the explanation for Ramona's 'crazy eyes.' We belonged to the same gym about 20 years ago, and, although she was attractive, she had exaggerated crepey folds over her eyes from sun damage. Obviously, she went under the knife and they took too much skin off.

Personally I think Ramona needs to be on Zanax or some other Med. Bethany is her own personality, and has a sauve way of doing things, she tells it like it is when confronted, and Ramona is pure drama, I really don't think Ramona has a drinking problem but is portraited that way on the show.. my opinion.

I think Ramona is a very sad wanna-be with extreme insecurities about herself. It's a shame that she is being exploited for her weaknesses. Sonja is living in a fantasy world and seems to have a 'visions of grandeur' problem. She is not what she thinks she is, and is also being exploited. With all their apparent wealth, why do these women need Bravo to reveal these problems?

Ramona and Jill are jealous of Bethenny. Bethenny actually was not pretentious about her financial struggles, she worked hard and long and most of all she is a likeable person. Ramona and Jill both need major therapy. Ramona is on the edge and Jill thinks she is really more important than she is. Ramona jumps out and slaps a label on a bottle of wine and expects big things that did not happen.

Bethanny didn't walk around all season with a bottle of Skinny Girl and be a rude, out of control drunk. Ramonna needs help and her husband (if he isn't seeing someone else) should help her. Stop drinking your inventory and you may be a successful wine distributor.

yes- I agree, Ramona has Asperger's. I live with one, this is so familiar. She's highly functioning but has little understanding of how friendship's work. Can't handle social interactions and gets stuck on a jag-verbally (in arguments just repeats herself) or habitually- pinot. I thought of that myself a few shows back too. Wonder if she's been diagnosed?
