'Two and a Half Men' Not Submitted for Best Comedy Emmy

After all of the drama surrounding 'Two and a Half Men' this year, CBS execs have decided not to submit the show for a Best Comedy Series Emmy Award.

According to Deadline, the show qualified for submission in the category, with 16 shows produced and aired this season, but an insider revealed that the feeling at CBS was that is wasn't appropriate given the circumstances surrounding the show recently.

'Two and a Half Men' has been nominated for Best Comedy Series three times, most recently in 2008.

However, the source adds that while it's not submitting the show for Best Comedy, the studio is fully supporting the show's co-stars, including Jon Cryer, Holland Taylor, Angus T. Jones and Conchata Ferrell, in supporting category nominations.

Production on the hit CBS show was shut down in February after the series' star, Charlie Sheen, flew off the handle, followed by a bizarre series of rants aimed at the show's producers.

Sheen has since been fired from the show and will be replaced by Ashton Kutcher when it returns in the fall for a ninth season.

Charlie Sheen is not the only one who made the show Mr. Lorre. All are punished because of a mental illness of one actor, so not fair. So all have to suffer because "LORRE" is pissed off.

The show was not submitted but it's stars were.

We saw last year's season finale, which turned out to be Sheen's last finale, and in the studio, Sheen was very quiet and not very social with the audience. This was when he was negotiating his million dollar contract and the word on the set and in Hollywood that day was he was not going to return. That turned out to be the case anyway.

The show will be a new dynamic. Ashton is at a one year contract with the show.

I think the show will be fine, but different, don't expect the same show.

Charlie is not laughing, hes wishing he was a part of the show again. And thinking, this would not have happened, if he was part of the show.
And Charlie has not learned anything yet, his life is still a mess.

I think if " 2 1/2 Men" is going to work, Ashton Kutcher's character can't be like Charlie Sheen's. Make him be more serious,and also, Jake needs to grow up and start taking his future more seriously.

Sad to say but Charlie WAS the show, now he is not worth S…. . he did ruin it for all the other cast . Charlie and Berta made the show. Jon is a little strange , even in real life, Angus is ok. Most certainly will not be watching. Maybe Angus will follow in his uncles footsteps ( Script wise ) they may be able to do something like that. But no way if Ashton is suppose to lead up the cast.He is not funny, good looking, talented, and acts like a read dope in real life.

Noone makes me laugh more than Joh Cryer on the show. Make him the primary star and Kutcher a secondary player. Despite Sheen's loss human nature being what it is after 8yrs many will resent his replacement. Also increase Conchita Ferrell's role. She is hysterical too.

Isn't that little kid grown up now? Then it should be called 3 men. Or count them all as 1/2 men and it would be 1 and 1/2 men.

Grow up Chuck Lorre! The show is nothing without Charlie Sheen. Will not be watching Ashton. Not a good actor and cannot replace Sheen.

Charlie Sheen made the show a hit. No one can fill his shoes in that role or in the show. I like Ashton but he can never be to the show what Charlie was. Sorry Ashton, I wont watch.
