Barbara Walters Grills Paris Hilton on 'The View' (Video)

Last year, Paris Hilton was sentenced to 200 hours of community service as part of a drug possession case. Some of that community service is featured on Hilton's new reality show, 'The World According to Paris,' and needless to say, Hilton didn't enjoy the experience. Today on 'The View,' Barbara Walters took Hilton to task over that footage and her public image.

"You are dragged out of bed by this assistant, you don't want to go, when she says you've got to do community service, you say, and I quote, 'It sucks,'" said Walters. Walters pointed out that Hilton has said she wanted to help female prisoners. "Why haven't you done more of that and less of this?" Walters asked.

Hilton tried to explain that she was only joking, and her mother Kathy said there is a certain amount of playing to the camera involved. Hilton said she has a responsibility to entertain on a show like this. Barbara Walters seems to think Hilton has a greater responsibility.

Barbara Walters admitted to having an affair with a married black politician, she is in no position to preach morality to anyone.

In fact, most people in Hollywood do worse things than Paris Hilton has ever done.

I hope her show does as well as all her other successful business ventures.

Barbara and Whoopie did a horrible job of asking their questions to Paris-- tripping all over themselves trying to be 'nice' while asking the tough questions. They were poorly executed and made no impact on Hilton whatsoever. Very poorly done, it looked like amatuer hour on the View and they should be embarrased when they watch the interview played back.

Baba Walters seems a little constipated lately. I don't care for Ms. Hilton, but she was a guest on the show, and was treated poorly. I never like rudeness when you have been INVITED as a GUEST.

I really wish that she would use her worldly status to give back. She is so shallow and missing out of what life can really offer her in return, if, she would put others before her selfish attitude and behaviours. She unfortunately is extremely immature and useless. I think her July 2007 multy million dollar disinheritence from her Grandfather should have be a wake up call but it clearly did nothing. She still continues to LIE and ABUSE her fortunate life and status to gain favor so that she can continue her bad behaviour. I think people should BOYCOTT Paris and NOT watch anyting she involves herself in for self profit profit profit.
