Bono's Performance Trumps Contestant on 'Idol' Finale

Some of the biggest stars in the music industry ruled the 'American Idol' finale last week and not even an original song by fan favorite, Haley Reinhart, could squeeze in some time on-screen.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Haley Reinhart was supposed to debut her song during the 'American Idol' season 10 finale, but those plans were squashed to make room for Bono and the cast of 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.'

"That was going to happen," Reinhart said when asked about performing an original song. "And then Bono came in and it was taken away."

However, Reinhart didn't sound too upset about the change. The planned single is on hold as she waits to "come up with something that's very me."

"Everything happens for a reason, so it's all good," she said.

I feel Haley will do well, I would have liked to seen her do some BONNIE RAIT OR ELLA FITZGERALD, she CAN SING THE BLUES WELL.
I hope her and Casy are an item, I think they make a good pair in the entertainment world. I ALSO REALLY ENJOYED THE BOYS BAND, I hope they make a record or CD however, you want to look at it. Next TO SEASON 8 it was great. grammy

It would have been much better if Hayley had been allowed to sing and they ahd taken away Scotty McCreerys new debut number. It was so boring.

I felt the entire finale was boring. One of the worst ever if not the worst ever. Haley was not one of my favorites. Sorry. I felt she screamed every song. Then acted like a diva who was already a star whenever anyone said anything negative. The girl's got a bad additude.

Pushing Haley aside was a big mistake. Bono's "performance," and I use the term loosely, was third rate, at best. If that was the best example of music from "Spider Man," it's no wonder they are in such big trouble. It was just plain awful.

All she does is yell and growl, and on top of that, she takes critique very badly. I found that very unattractive.

This was the worst american idol period because the best ones left earlier....it became"country american idol"....BORING...and haley with her screeching voice....james should of won and pia didn't get the chance the others got...scotty was the same ..week after week after week...none of them gave me goosebumps like previous idol final singers....

What a flop. America voted off the two best singers weeks ago. James and Pia were by far the best voices in the group. James also excelled as an all round fantastic performer, but guess the teeny boppers didn't vote for him because he isn't as cute as Scotty and already has a wife and child. (Hope my old English prof doesn't see that last sentence.) I sure wish the judges would get to contribute at least half the votes. We just can't trust America to vote well anymore..

The Idol finale is too long of a show. American Idol sells out to whatever big name they can find over who you were watching all season.
