Amy Winehouse Leaves Rehab After Just One Week

After just one week of treatment, Amy Winehouse has checked out of rehab, the Associated Press reports. The singer was seeking treatment in London.

Winehouse's rep, Chris Goodman said she was looking forward to touring Europe this summer and "raring to go." He also said the 27-year-old will continue her treatment at the Priory Clinic as an outpatient.

The Priory Clinic offers treatment for a variety of psychiatric problems in addition to drug and alcohol addiction. But her rep did not reveal why she was there.

Winehouse has a well-documented history of drug and alcohol abuse as well as self-destructive behavior since bursting into the limelight in 2007 with her Grammy-winning sophomore album 'Back to Black'.

The Sun reported that a bedraggled Winehouse was seen downing a miniature bottle of vodka in London last Thursday--just before checking into rehab.

An eyewitness recalled the troubled singer's condition. "She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words." The person continued, "I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back."

Amy Winehouse is the greatest and most soulful singer ever. She is one of a kind and undenibly one of the best voices ever recorded. She has her problems of course but no one could name many of the great music entertainers who don't have some drug or alcohol problems. Hopefully she will get the help she needs and live a long and happy life. Just keep singing, Amy. I love you and many others do too.
