Amy Winehouse Leaves Rehab After Just One Week

After just one week of treatment, Amy Winehouse has checked out of rehab, the Associated Press reports. The singer was seeking treatment in London.

Winehouse's rep, Chris Goodman said she was looking forward to touring Europe this summer and "raring to go." He also said the 27-year-old will continue her treatment at the Priory Clinic as an outpatient.

The Priory Clinic offers treatment for a variety of psychiatric problems in addition to drug and alcohol addiction. But her rep did not reveal why she was there.

Winehouse has a well-documented history of drug and alcohol abuse as well as self-destructive behavior since bursting into the limelight in 2007 with her Grammy-winning sophomore album 'Back to Black'.

The Sun reported that a bedraggled Winehouse was seen downing a miniature bottle of vodka in London last Thursday--just before checking into rehab.

An eyewitness recalled the troubled singer's condition. "She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words." The person continued, "I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back."

Addiction is not something that a person can help. They do need to seek help from trained professionals to stop and stay sober. Praying that she can do it!

Why do so many of you want to see Amy Winehouse dead? I just don't understand that kind of mind set. I never saw one article about wanting the almighty Micheal Jackson to die and he was a pedophile and he never went to rehab for that either, for your information. In my mind what he was doing to those innocent children was much much worse than what Amy is doing to herself. At least she is not hurting anyone else or ruining anyone else life but her own. I certainly agree with those of you who state that she needs help and now before she puts herself in the grave but for people to wish death on her is just wrong, wrong, wrong in the biggest way.
