Arnold Schwarzenegger Refuses to Take Off Wedding Ring

Even though he just hired his own divorce attorney, Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't seem to be letting go of married life completely -- as of yesterday, he was still wearing his wedding ring, according to Us magazine. On route to a meeting with his daughter, Katherine, 'The Terminator' was most likely there to talk with his eldest child about the termination of his marriage, but his ring finger seemed to be telling a different story.

Schwarzenegger, 63, and now estranged wife, Maria Shriver, separated after news broke that the former governor fathered a love child with a member of the family's staff, Midlred Baena. After the discovery, Shriver, 55, was quick to ditch her rock but her husband's ring finger seems less inclined to give up on the marriage so easily.

Shriver hired high-power divorce attorney, Laura Wasser, and going tit for tat, Schwarzenegger has done the same, hiring Hollywood lawyer, Bob Kaufman -- who represented Jennifer Aniston in her split from Brad Pitt.

Why do you think Schwarzenegger hasn't ditched his wedding bling yet?

Seems to me that while everyone is bashing Arnold, what about the housekeeper. She was married. As a woman and a wife I can understand Maria's anger and hurt, but if you are going to bash him you also need to bash the housekeeper. Frankly tho it's none of our business anyway. I prefer not to bash either and have them keep their business to themselves.

@MichelleCoffey89, do you mean Maria should be as mad at the housekeeper as she is at Arnold?

No... first, she's not married to the housekeeper.

Second, Maria understands the difference in power (financial, social, physical) between the governor and a short Hispanic female house servant.

I'm sure she IS mad at the housekeeper, and we know the housekeeper's husband is furious too -- but I think most of the public outrage belongs on Arnold, because we don't know what he used to persuade the housekeeper to lie down with him.

Yeah, I'm not so sure it was the housekeeper who was taken advantage of. From what I heard, her friends say she was on a mission to seduce him and have his child.

Women have screwed their bosses for years and years. They have broken up marriages and ended up being the bosses wife. Nothing new there. This one ended up with a kid, generous child support, a new house with a pool and who knows what else. She knew what she wanted and she got it. And most likely will get a lot more. She was no fool.

Ankhorite< first of all, we don't even know that he persuaded her to do anything. As far as we know it was SHE who did all the persuading and manipulating. She is the one who ended up the winner. She got the new house, the new car, the swimming pool and the money. She wasn't the type of woman and powerful, rich man goes looking for. He could have had the pick of the litter if he was looking for sex. Most likely is that she approached him when she thought he was vulnerable and used her expertise in getting what she wants. she got it, and a LOT more.

Yes Ankhorite, I do believe Maria should be ticked at the woman! Both betrayed her trust. Maria understanding the "power" has absolutely nothing to do with anything. She (the housekeeper) could have said no. For all we know she did the instigating, which by no means alleviates or excuses his participation. We have no clue as to whether Arnold had 900 affairs or Maria had 900 affairs. It doesn't matter, it is their business and if she chooses to divorce him or stay with him it is her choice. Many married couples forgive infidelity and whether we agree or disagree it is their business. BS about the public outcry is asinine. The public has no right to be offended. They aren't married to him.

Unfortunately, he is not the first.

Wishing him years of loneliness as he looks for work unsuccessfully after he makes the large deposit in Maria's account. Maybe he and John Edwards can share a flat.

Do you realize that the entire time he was governor of CA he was a fraud? Perhaps character should matter after all.

The fact that Arnold is still wearing his wedding ring is a sign that there is still a possibility of reconciliation with Maria. I think that in the deepest recesses of Arnold's heart he still loves Maria. After all think of what Maria did for his politcal career when he needed it most. Likewise, I think that Maria still loves Arnold.

You all are talking like this is something new Maria knew from years with him how he was. But like a Kennedy she stayed till he was out of office then made her move. He had a history of gropeing and flirting with women and she knew of this. Her entire family has a history of being less than faithfull so im sure she was well aware of what happens in powerfull familys with alpha males.
So dont be so easy to condemn without knowing the entire story. And as far as the ring is concerned is it a ring or a wedding band. Im sure he has more than one.
