'Idol' Runner-Up Lauren Alaina Says She Isn't Dating Scotty McCreery (Video)

On Tuesday, on 'Live With Regis and Kelly', 'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery did a little sidestepping when Regis Philbin asked him about Lauren Alaina.

Yesterday on the show, Alaina, the 'Idol' runner-up, was unequivocal that she and McCreery are not dating, which means he shouldn't be jealous that Alaina thinks Philbin is cute.

"You kissed him," Philbin said. "How did it work now? If he won, you'd kiss him, if you won, he'd kiss you."

Alaina said McCreery was too shy for that sort of thing. Philbin said that was because McCreery was from North Carolina, but Alaina is from Georgia, where perhaps the girls are a bit more forward.

That made Alaina laugh. "Aw, you're cute," she told Philbin.

Alaina finished up her appearance with a performance of her new single, 'Like My Mother Does.'

Next week, she and McCreery will appear together at the 2011 CMT Music Awards.

Whether or not she is not satisfied with her weight, at least she can change that. But pathetic people like you cannot change your ugly heart.

I think Scotty is, in Madonna's words, "like a virgin". I think Lauren is too. I'm also pretty sure both of them will get over THAT particular awkwardness relatively soon.
